A great tip. Thank you! I find the pick rotates, so that I am playing with the side of the pick 99% of the time. This product should work well.

That is exactly my issue. And I know it's because most of the time, I'm holding the pick "wrong", but it's how i've held it for decades & switching to the traditional grip, which I tried to do for several years, including when I won GPGS in 2009, there's just stuff that's a part of my style that I can't do with traditional gripping. Thank you for watching!

I just take my lighter and go to the back of the pick and heat up the edge a little bit and with my thumb nail put a little dent in the pick. Now, I can clearly feel that dent... I don't do that anymore! I just changed my technique 2:08

This is a huge issue for myself also. My pick is constantly rotating and I find myself readjusting my grip. I've tried many different things and also havent found a good solution. I have switched to a celluloid pick (Dunlop) and that helped but at this point I'm going to try this product. Thanks for the heads up.

Haha for years and years I did the Dime trick... scratched up a Dunlop .88mm tortex with a cardboard cutter... then I discovered Dunlop .88 flow picks which already have a good grip by default which is also a more comfortable size all round including fast shredding.... just my 2 cents ;)

I bought a used jubilee like 20 year ago, and only had 2 guitars both with emgs. i though something was wrong with my pickups like a short or bad batteries because of the of the volume on the jubilee. Until i figured out the sweep of the volume , it was like about 2 weeks of trying to understand what was wrong or what i thought was wrong at the time.

Intro is so delicate and dulcimer-like. Following sample more so. How does anyone tell the difference between this and dimed? Body tissues being airborne? Neighbors with pitchforks? Distortion still just as fuzzy/buzzy at 90 or 108db. Yeah, I have a Marshall and Marshall 4x12 cab, running through pedals and tubed pre amps. Plays wonderfully clean too is my point.

Sounds great! I’ve been saying this for years! Heck, I was probably one of the people on that very FB forum extolling the virtues of the JVM at bedroom volume! People don’t understand modern amp design and the fact that modern amps are not designed like they were in the ‘60’s up through the ‘80’s. They get stuck in the dogma of “tube amps have to be loud to sound good”. I plant my face firmly in palm every time I see players using attenuators with amps like a JVM and then believe they have the “hidden secret” to great guitar tone. There’s just so much bad info and people with opinions as facts that leads too many players into believing things that just simply aren’t true.....sadly.

I play my 2555x Silver Jubilee half stack at bedroom levels a lot and it sounds great at that volume. Of course it's best at around 1 or 2 o'clock on the volume and I'm very fortunate to be able to play at that volume but it does sound great at lower volume. Now my SV20 studio plexi is a different story all together but honestly I don't think the SV20 sounds good at any volume.

I happen to currently have these two plus the mini Jube… you can EQ all to be similar… Jube is the best bang for the buck and can cover the most ground if you want one. Jube can also be played at a fairly low volume.. The Plexi needs volume so it’s not a home amp for most people unless it’s a pedal platform, All 3 are excellent.

Now compare the JCM 900? 😁 Really enjoy my 1959HW full stack; for similar tones at lower volume, the Origin 50 does well enough - even better when you consider the price. I know it's not everyone's fav Marshall, but I really enjoy my JVM410H - it has much of the history of Marshall in a single box. As usual, opening up the master addresses some complaints some have; it's not going to sound identical in a side by side comparison, but if you want a versatile Marshall channel switcher it's great IMO. I have other amp brands for other things, but honestly nothing sounds better to me than Marshall's. edit: my favorite Marshall amp? That's my Engl Artist Edition 100 E651, I can get Plexi, JMP, JCM 800 tones.

Have a 2203X and a 1990 Jubilee 2555. Both are fantastic amps and have that "Marshall" sound. You did an excellent job describing the differences. I generally play the Jubilee at home because it sounds great at a MV of just under 2 and the EQ is very responsive. Additionally, as you point out, it's basically a 3 channel amp with Clean, Crunch, and Lead modes. I can achieve any tone that I am looking for with the Jubilee. The 2203X is more classic Marshall roar. For cranked tones, the Jubilee needs the MV at about a 7 to really shine, but the 2203X does that between 4 and 5. The 2203X is a much louder amp to my ear. But in my 8x8 space, there is not a lot of opportunity to crank these amps. For recording, I use a Suhr Reactive Load IR and it does an amazing job in getting authentic cranked Marshall tones without forcing everyone, including the cat, to need to leave the house. GREAT video and excellent playing too! I subscribed!
