Seeing this one year later but can you tell me if you applied ED)EA)RD to Rice. Im an int student with somewhat similar ecs. What do u think I should apply as to get in?

Hi! I applied RD. I can’t tell you which route will allow you to get in, because I have no idea and there are just so many factors 😭 but I will say that since ED is binding, it definitely shows a lot of demonstrated interest and commitment to the school which I think can only help you. The downside is you can’t apply to any other schools ED but you can apply to other EA programs (I think). I don’t think rice has EA tho. Definitely fact check me 😂 Hope this helps and best of luck 🤗

Thanks for the video! So currently I'm planning to early decision 1 into WashU, and after looking at your stats, I had a question. I currently have a 4.4 weighted GPA and 3.94 UW GPA, and a 1510 SAT score. Do you think I have a chance with just my stats? I've seen videos of stats from others and frankly, I just don't have the confidence in my numbers anymore...

I personally think your stats are great but I’m not an admissions officer so idk exactly what they look for. But I do know they use a “holistic” process, so it’s hard to say what your chances are based on stats alone. They usually put out statistics for like the middle 50% of applicants so that can be a good place to look but def not a be-all and end-all. Hope this helps! Wishing you all the best

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I didn’t see this before decision day! Firstly, congrats!!! That’s huge 🥳🥳 I kind of already knew where I wanted to go when I was applying to schools, so it wasn’t too difficult of a decision for me. But I guess major programs, resources, location, and campus life were some big deciding factors for me! What’d you end up deciding on?
