Hope you enjoyed it! Some of the things I enjoy so much about TFC is that the game's always in motion, there's very little downtime in the action, and the penalty period for any mistakes is so short (just respawn and do better next run). Still my favorite game of all time, loving the opportunity to play it again in 2022 :D

I'm not sure of the exact origins of raiden, but I know NeonLight has been working on this map for quite some time, tuning and adjusting various things to keep it balanced. Neon would probably know more about the map's origins/history, he's on discord and twitch at www.twitch.tv/neonlight_tfc

Thanks for the visit and comment! I'm obviously very biased but I really love this game :) Seems like so many other, newer FPS games tend to prioritize the click-on-the-bad-guy path to success at the expense of everything else. TFC is one of the few games I've found where being good at aiming isn't required (although it certainly helps), and dying isn't really a big deal as long as you're helping your team move (or defend) the flag.

Feel free to join coach's discord and @ me for quicker responses :) but the speed cap (the speed after which the game will dramatically slow you down to regular walking speed) is 170% of the specific class's normal speed. So the cap is a much higher speed for scout than it is for heavy. If you've got any other questions ask away!

I personally don't find myself with many occasions to use the single shotty, but that's partly because my aim is garbage and partly because I just don't usually have time to switch weapons again before the enemy's gone. I do use it as demo occasionally if they've run out of blue pipe range, but haven't seen much success :p Some players do seem to make pretty good use of it - MightMouse kills me with the single shotgun regularly as demo, Neon once used only baby shotty instead of normal as soldier on openfire and was wildly successful against me. It shoots so fast!

​@@Nomad7 thank you thought i was going crazy because i remembered it really rounding out scouts demos soldiers and to a lot more situational extent pyro. i only ever remembered it being near useless on hw and medic. I really liked the dynamic of a ranged shotgun with more speed vs a beefier more traditional shotgun and it felt like people saying it was useless confusing clutter never felt the pain of having their run stopped short or shot out of the air like a snipe by someone who put hours into it. saw one interesting use in a video where a medic used it to take out a sniper in a narrow hall using his ar, dont know if that was optimal but it was interesting especially since he saved on the super shotguns clip still in base.
