The same situation happened to my cassette of which a tooth on 5th gear bent outward to touch the chain when in 6th gear. The issue solved with a plier bending the tooth inward.

It looks like he replaced the chainring with a new one that the powermeter could actually mount onto...it could also be that the chainring had chain suck
