Edited; I used to agree with your points but thought it was taken a bit out of proportion. But nevermind I looked a bit more in it. the gameplay i saw was from an other game (even tho this still might have something okay). But the aesthetics of the characters are taken into a a faaaaar scretch. Litterly none of it looks kinda appealing or feels like some kind of statement.. Some arguments you made are still a bit early to say for an unreleased game, but i get your main points now.

The biggest problem for this game is the Market it tries to establish itself in. They need to do something amazing to grip players. And it doesn't look like they did.

Who wanted this? The characters at best are generic bargain bin rip offs and at worst not characters I want to play. I don’t know about you but I never wanted to play geriatric Asian grandma, or beefy puke green wearing a swinging trash bin helmet tank. I’m sure they were patting themselves on the backs for how inclusive their roster was but dang someone should have told them no.

Disc rot is a myth. Some discs were poorly manufactured. This is case by case. Every disc is not doomer to "rot".

With activision and bungie devs on the team, the game has the potential to be a mechanically sound shooter, with some tweaks to ttk and maybe movement, it'd feel solid. Main problem is its main competition are all f2p. The art style is also another factor to consider.

I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason this was pushed forward was the hope that it could soak up some of OW2's disgruntled players. Apparently they're promising weekly story updates complete with cutscenes, as if they're trying to deliver the narrative-focus Blizzard failed to. Of course in practice you need to actually show you have a story and characters worth focusing on, especially if you're trying to play catch-up to Overwatch.

I think the eco chamber of YT “anti woke” bros is rotting people’s brains. So what if Concord doesn’t have characters that appeal to you in some way? So what if it’s a live service with mediocre player counts? So what if it ends up getting shut down? Is it your money, time and energy that were sacrificed for a product? No So why do you invest so much time, interest and energy into continuing the hate wagon as the hundreds of other YT channels doing the exact same? All you people complain about “woke this” “DEI that” etc But you do the exact same, complain about the same things, never being open to new ideas or changes, you want games to appeal to you and only you and you think that because a hundred other YT channels say the same then it validates your point of view. You’re living in a bubble, just as those you so despise and criticize.

The moment SEGA axed Hyenas they should have dumpstered this whole thing and wrote it in the deductible losses, but I guess they were hoping some kind of last minute miraculous turn.

Another gripe I have with the character design of Concord is the fact that so many characters don't visually convey what they're all about. Some do, but many more don't. Case in point: Daw. That chubby dude in the ski-goggles, with the blue jacket, orange gloves and the green pad on his back. *At first glance, you'd never know that he's a Healer.* Nothing in his design shows me any indication that he's a Healer; no first aid kits, no sterile equipment, no EKG devices-- Nothing. Nothing at all. He's just some bland looking guy with a gun. He has to be one of the worst designs I've ever seen in a game, ever.

Another thing i find really funny, especially while looking at vale's part of gameplay, shes probably shooting a .50 cal sniper, i see nothing when she hits an enemy, she then used a trip mine, dude walks in front of it, gets blown, nothing. Hummmmmmmmmm i don't think that supposed to happen.

Should've made a joke about the game being DOA. No not dead or alive, that would be a good and exciting game announcement. Dead on arrival. The fact the game beta had 50 people in it at the end... like holy crap...

This video was my introduction to this game and as soon as i saw footage i immediately disliked it, the reception makes me think gamers evolved to spot these kinds of games like some animals spot predators lol

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle R: is the better game, and a great one in general, but that sort of exclusive bundle can’t exist anymore it seems. Ultimate edition games used to be something special, especially when the whole game fit on a disc that you owned forever. Nowadays the rewards are in “content” and digital DLC, without even a disc to your name. The disc is only a license-key with a game file attached. Funnily enough, the remastered JoJo’s game does just that.

I think you're forgetting the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster sells for about 2k-3k physical.
