They do a remote play for anyone who can't make it or would rather be in the comfort of their home. They also had quiet zones as well for less contact.

@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD The ideal situation is me and three or four friends in my living room. It might be fun to set up a webcam that connected to the larger group, as a remote group. But all the tech would just distract from the game. Frankly, I'm amazed that you guys are able to make Azerim so entertaining, being surrounded by a production crew and cameras.

I was confused by this video. The Living City, Living Greyhawk, Living Arcanis, and Living Death (Organized Play games from the RPGA days) had huge interactives that were extremely similar to what was shown. Living Greyhawk had some huge battle interactives at Origins, GenCon, and Winter Fantasy. Living Arcanis still does them. Everything that happened at one table could affect other tables, based on what you did, you could give aid to other tables, there were special missions where a small number of people (usually one table of specialist characters who volunteered as they were dangerous) went on dangerous missions that affected the whole progress of the battle. Interspersed were RP interactive breaks (allowed DMs to coordinate and players to talk), but there were NPCs that could sell things, offer aid, or sometime, the NPCs could be a spy collecting information. I was part of a number of these on both sides (player and DM/Staff). I guess my issue is that this is not new. It is still amazing and I am glad people are doing events like this, but it has been done before.

Man, I'm so late to this episode!!! I took a short break from KZfaq for a whole month. Now that I'm back, I'm gonna have to rush through these episodes. But... *wishful thinking* reminded me of the excellent subtitles and why I always have them activated for these episodes.

To all the comments saying,'I had no idea this was on!', you have to start following more than just the KZfaq Videos, I guess! I was plastering it on my own KZfaq page, my Twitch, Patreon, Instagram, Discord, The Viva's Instagram, and community pages on KZfaq, Discord... We tried getting word out as far as we can but you gotta engage with the platforms where we make announcements or you're going to miss the announcements!

This Event was AMAZING. I'm a Member of Rob's Patreon and when I saw the announcement that he was going to be coming to Utah for this, I immediately went screaming around the house to tell my husband. We can finally meet Rob! Signed up to volunteer for the Event, and requested work off that moment. We were both Generals for this, which felt like a really important role. All the DM's and players were so nice. It was incredible to be involved and really felt like we accomplished something at the end. Getting to meet with Rob, and Ben, was definitely the reason we came but I feel like the reason we stayed changed. They were both super kind and would chat when we saw them around the Event, give little head nods to acknowledge we were nearby, and Rob was really great about me being super shy getting to meet him. (He even asked to take photos of my costumes for inspiration!) I was the Druid Tabaxi Day 1, and Woodland Fairy Day 2 (Seen in video at 3:49, 3:57, 4:32) I sincerely hope that We Geek Together can pull this together again next year, maybe on an even bigger scale. More than that I hope VLDL sees the value in this Event and will send more than Rob on his lonesome to play.
