"It's okay to think racist thoughts and use racist speech in our private conversations as long as we never say it out loud in public" was and is the very ethos of the Southern Strategy of Goldwater, Nixon & Reagan. "If the Democratic Party doesn't want all these white racist, white supremacist, prejudiced pro-segregation voters from the southern states we'll welcome them in the Republican Party." Fine with me. Don't let the screen door hit you in your racist, sexist & prejudiced asses on your way out of the Democratic Party.

Movie had some star power. Richard Harris, Bo Derek, Robert Carradine, Keenan Wynn. Will Sampson (of one flew over the cuckoos nest fame). It’s actually not a terrible movie and some beautiful icy scenery near Newfoundland. And of course, Bo Derek’s physique.

Lol the cognitive dissonance is strong in this one.

Nixon won in 49 states (the people's president) democrats and the cia had to take him out with help from a dishonest media. Trump (the people's president) won in a massive landslide in 2020... is why the democrats, big tech with help from a dishonest media had to rig the election.

Nixon applauds the Black contribution to music and then at 14:35 "In certain areas, poetry etc they have free and easy style that add enormously to our culture". I never would've guessed Nixon would be a fan of RAP, just did a quick google and indeed he was; and I'll quote “I have often thought that if there had been a good rap group around in those days, I might have chosen a career in music instead of politics.”. Keep it real G(Man).

Roger Stone who worked for Nixon often strongly extolls Nixon's intelligence and political genius (which, truth be known, I've often questioned being for many years a sadly indoctrinated 'counter-cultural' product of the 60-70s), and this one conversation reveals exactly why Stone holds him in such high regard.

And what would the Pittsburgh Pirates be “without a hell of a lot of blacks?” he said. This really is unique and bizarre, even for folks like me who were around when Nixon was president. It’s a rare treat to hear him talking on the phone with Patrick Moynihan. And the audio quality is excellent. I’m not surprised by what Nixon said about the African governments and people. I heard about his views on the subject many years ago. And Nixon barely lets Moynihan get a word in edgewise. He just keeps talking and talking like he’s pent up.

THE DEMS used the same law-fare to overthrow Nixon, as we see used today against Trump (Moynihan was a Democrat in name only). Too bad Nixon didn’t stay in the fight, like Trump. Incidentally, Nixon wrote to Trump in 1981, “Whenever you decide to run for office, you will be a winner!” The guy absolutely knew the game. What a loss, for the country and the world.

Watergate was a mild campaign chicanery in comparison with today’s corruption and election fraud that the Dems pull off in the 2020 election. I never understood why Nixon had to be so honest about preserving the authenticity of the White House audio tapes that he activated. Any normal politician would have had them mysteriously destroyed and say be damned if I know what happened to them. President Joe Biden (from when he was Obama’s Vice President) had boxes full of top secret documents unsecured all over his house and garage and nothing happened to him. The prosecutor said he is just a forgetful old man, not worth prosecuting.

Nixon was a race realist but he worried about the well-being of the inferior races, to the point of suppressing the truth about racial differences. Time has taught that lying and suppressing truth is never good policy. Nixon was a liberal, but no matter how liberal his policies, liberals hated him all the more.

@opp31337
@opp31337 6 ай бұрын
no he didn't. he was out of office for over a decade before the crack epidemic was recognized in the mid 1980s...to say Nixon is to blame for crack after not being in public office for over a decade is just ridiculous. Press accounts also set South Central Los Angeles' crack crisis as beginning in or about 1984. The press did not begin reporting on the issue of crack cocaine until 1984, but those articles suggested that the mounting crack problem had existed prior to that time. The first coverage of crack cocaine by a major newspaper was a November 25, 1984, Los Angeles Times article entitled, "South Central Cocaine Sales Explode Into $25 'Rocks.'" The article recounted concerns about the "sale of hardened cocaine called 'rocks'" that reportedly swept through South Central Los Angeles' black community during the prior 18 months. Detective Alfonse Kotero, who was an LAPD policeman on the streets of South Central in 1982, recalled hearing about rock cocaine for the first time in 1982. During 1982 or 1983, he recalled receiving training on rock cocaine during roll call and recalled hearing that there was freebase that was created with cocaine and rum. Detective Kotero remembered that LAPD's raids on "rock houses" began in 1983.
