Unless you're a goalkeeper you have no idea how good of a safe this was. It wasnt the best looking high flying save but it was a safe that 99% of keepers wouldn't of made.

bad finishing from the striker and come on guys this was so obvious, the pass comes hard in so it is clear that the striker goes for the short corner... it was a good save yeah but not the best in history.

Its a great save but its more of poor finishing than a great save in my opinion. Has the entire goal to aim at and basicaly hits it in the only place the goal keeper has a chance of saving it.

To be honest, this looks like a great save, but whoever took the shot could easily have put it past him if he bothered to place it in the corner. Instead he shot into the middle of the goal. Casillas was instinctively low and it's still a great save, but it could easily have been another story. Still Schmeichel vs. Rapid Vienna for me

@roncesvalless Schmeichel won Euro 92 with DENMARK and in that final kept out at least 3-4 certain German goals. I'd like to see Casillas do something like that too. Plus he had every quality not just height/size. He had amazing Agility, shot stopping, reflexes, good with crosses, the best in 1 v 1 scenarios, imposing size, excellent distribution/throws. He even scored goals lol. In short he was the perfect keeper. Casillas is good but Schmeichel is unparalleled.

@alextheninja1 i repeat, i would like see schemeichel save the opportunity of robben one vs one, in the final WC for be a great keeper is not enought be so tall, (casillas height is only 1,84), the most important is have cold blood, casillas in this is the master

@roncesvalless Even Casillas himself said Schmeichel is the best of all time. Google it for his exact comments.. Casillas isn't even the best of this era, Buffon and Cech have been the best for most of Casillas playing career. Don't even compare him to Schmeichel lol it's different galaxies man

Schmeichel made at least 100 saves greater that this.. Only a ridiculous Madrid fan seriously thinks Casillas is anywhere near the best GK, or that this save is "the best in history" LOL

they say casillas has amazing reactions just by watching this save but this is reading the game from experience though he does actually have good reactions
