Those were the days, magic taught us how to play basketball. And that it was just all about scoring titles.

I can't believe this game was 20 years ago. My entire sleepy neighborhood in the OC erupted when Fisher's shot went into the basket.

It's sad how Bynum went from being drafted at 17 to having injuries in his 20s. Nevertheless he gave the Lakers 2 rings.

Check Manu’s pass fake to Dee Brown before passing to Timmy. Great pass fake to move Kobe slightly over. Rest in peace Kobe.

As the NBA returns to NBC in 2025-26 season. Let's pay respects to Bill Walton and Steve Snapper Jones. Those guys made NBA broadcasting entertaining and hilarious. R.I.P 🙏🏿

Sedale Threatt had his best years as a Laker and helped with the loss of Magic as a steady PG.

Lakers had alot of talent on that squad, what I remember well they didn't play very good defence, they didn't have a strong defender or enforcer time after time they would let someone drive the middle of the lane score Uncontested

Fun story, or maybe not about this game. I was a senior in high school, and I had skipped several days of school leading up to this game. My dad bought tickets to this game, knowing the Lakers are my favorite team, and Magic was my favorite player of all time. I had never seen him play live and assumed this would be my only chance. As luck would have it, the school called him this day to inform him that I'd missed several days. The first thing he told me was we weren't going to the game that night, devastating me. Looking back, and even then, I knew it was my fault. I was so pissed. Blew my only chance to see the legend in person. I remember being excited that I'd be able to see his 10,000th assist, too. Still irritates me that I fcked it up. Good to see the Lakers won the game, though. I couldn't remember if they did or not.
