Small trucks used to be successful because they were actually small and cheap. In the 80s and 90s a small truck usually started at the sMe price as the entry level car...so a base s10 matched a cavalier, a ranger matched an escort...taco matched the xarolla etc. There's no reason you can't have a pickup nicely equipped under 30k. They just won't make them

we're being robbed of our choices, give me a 1983 lil red toyota truck stick shift ive seen one go a millionmiles 4 cylinder,I don't need heated seats or heated steering wheel, after taxes I get to have $24,000 of my full time job that pays $16.80 an hour,$420 a month in taxes...

I wish they didn’t make the taco look like a baby tundra… tacos always stood apart from tundras. Now it’s just a tiny clone. I’ll stick with my 18 tundra.

I sold my truck in 18 because we bought a house and I wanted to tighten the belt. As of right now, I will never own a new truck again in my lifetime. I'm not trying to be political, but we knew this would not be a good four years, but this is ridiculous.

Tacoma is overpriced, 3 VIN (Mexico). turbo (issues), 4 banger, with too many upgrades= trucks that sit (and don't sell). Tundra screwed up the engines--under recall. May they rust in peace/place. Buy a 2024 four runner before they mess it up, too, with a turbo in 2025..

Increase the supply by refusing to purchase them and the demand will decrease as a result, this will force these corporate thugs to drop their prices and listen to the customers…..

Massive recalls underway for Toyota and Lexus models with the 3.5 twin turbo v6 due to engine failure. So far it's 2022 and 2023 models but the problem is already impacting 2024 models as well. It's going to get worse.

That dealership has a VERY LARGE ALLOCATION compared to other dealers in that Toyota Dealer Zone Group. A lot of those Tacomas will be dealer exchanged for Camrys, Corollas and so on, some will be sold to other dealers. I worked at a dealer years ago and large volume dealers would buy our inventory. As far as pricing goes, I’m in full agreement with you and everyone else that the prices are crazy expensive for a Tacoma. I purchased a 2023 last June, it stickered out at 43,500, it was loaded, an Off Road TRD, I got a very good deal on it. If the 24 had a V6, I would have waited, no way I’d buy a 4 cylinder turbo gas engine, they’re also getting towed in almost daily. Toyota is a smart company, they’ll put big incentives on them, be it rebates and or zero percent financing.

I am on the side of, I didn't mind the exterior of the old Tundra but I hated the interior. Now the newer ones have come out without V8's and people are saying these new engines will not last as long and wont be as reliable. I also miss having the option for a manual gear box in the 4Runner/Tacoma/Tundra.

I had an 04 Tacoma Pre Runner with the 3.4 V6. That engine was a beast! The thing hauled a$$ and never let me down. Some dude ran a red light and totalled me out and now I'm totally priced out of even used Tacomas. Best vehicle I've ever owned hands down.

I own a 1984 K20. There really is nothing to it. I can fix an issue with a zip tie. I have saddle tanks, a 4 barrel carb, yes, a carburetor, not fuel injection. 10 MPG if I am lucky. This truck is EMP and kills witche proof. It can literally run into several Dears and only scratch my solid steel bumper. Its insured, and it has not failed me yet. I am the second owner, and the first owner was my father-in-law. Why do people feel the need to have to buy new items all the time?

Toyota has priced themselves out of the market with these poor excuse for Toyota Quality trucks. A “full size” truck with no V8 option is just stupid… The much anticipated “refresh” of the Tacoma appears to have drivetrain weaknesses (TFL on ice) Far too expensive for what your getting, bright side, new truck crap is going to keep the tried and true used truck market up for a bit

Lexus 2.4 Turbo for years. My 2024,Highlander, 2.4 turbo. Good enough for Lexus, good enough for me. The big increase in torque on the 2.4 Turbo dwarfs the old V6 performance. This will be Toyota’s main engine on its all gas models.
