Wow……this is 7 years old and this is STILL a fucking problem?!?!?!!

I am watching these after the fact, but I noticed at the point near the end where you were testing the sirens and you were down by the crops, the robots did not flip the switch to turn it off. If you notice right when the switch turned off, settler Bob’s hand could be seen next to the switch. I am still convinced that if you only have robots, they will not turn on or off the sirens. I could be wrong, but every test you have run, it appears the human settler has been who has turned off the alarms.

Damn.. My quest is stuck on "browse the wattz electronic store" I found the relay tower manually and there's no body there for me. The quest pin will just follow me around on the map

Why does it not alternate when i do these steps? Every time i do it both words come on and off at the same time and dont alternate between the two words.

I got 999+ defense and they still talk about raiders attacking even tho they never get past my turrets

So i got tired of settlers in my home. So i got rid all doors and move a wall in build mode to get and they still get in my home i give on this game

It didn't work and it was a waste of 20 or 30 minutes of my time

I have 3 energy weapon forges but I can only get 2 working? The computer doesn't differentiate with like forges, only different forges? Any idea? I already have 3 ammo forges producing the same ammo

2:23:58 I just watched a video by RadconX that shows a good method for snapping in the angled ball track pieces to make supports like you are doing here. Instead of group selecting them in place Radcon uses the ball track funnel and your curved wall technique to make snapping points for these supports. It's only a couple minutes long and worth a gander.

I know this is an older video, but... I have found that settlers will not take a weapon if they don't have access to the appropriate ammo. I have an army worth of guns in my workbench, but no ammo anywhere. They don't take my guns anymore.

There was a lot of talk about mods in this stream. One mod I wouldn't mind is a concrete pillar that is painted bright orange so I don't keep losing it.

I put all Legendary weapon on weapons racks in Sanctuary & they never take any of my weapons.

I just put all my stuff in a "workshop" with a mechanical door that you need to power on to open. My power armor, weapons, everything I don't want the NPCs to have. My current game is pushing the 5 day mark and they have never even got to my stuff. It is a little annoying cause if I am in the workshop, that means the door has to be open, unless I remember to shut it with a computer, so settlers can wander in and refuse to leave. But it works none-the-less. Edit: I came up with this when a settler stole my Ashmaker in one of my older playthroughs and I had a hard time finding it. I've never had a problem since.

I've never built a siren at any settlement site so far, but I'm getting close the end of my current game, I might try this. Multi-crops check! High Defense numbers Check! Work stations and weight benches Check! Recently I added pet cages, Check! Dry covered beds Check! I'm usually hovering around 80-85 :)'s with just the bare essentials, Food, Shelter, Security with just a little nudges towards traders and boredom eliminators. I keep my settlements generally small though 5-10 people depending on which settlement, Starlight Drive-In being the usual exception because that's my main supply-line hub. I do have a mod installed now by the guy who does the Rebuilt series which makes Jamaica Plains a huge city, which I have a hard time filling up because of playing the game.. balancing will come as I get accustomed to it, but I can see that settlement easily handling 30 people all fully employed. Another good video mate!

I always upgrade my settlers with better weapons than what they schlepped into my settlement with, armors too. I despise the pipe weapons with a passion, I don't want to use them and I don't want to see them. My go-to strategy is normally setting up Red Rocket as MY man-cave. The only other occupant is Dogmeat. I store all of my Legendary's there, I store all of my Power Armor there, and that's my outfitting station where I bring the items I want to collect for my settlers. The last playthrough I did, I had three of the best looking women settlers stationed at the Red Rocket, 1 Farming, 1 Guard, 1 Vendor and Dogmeat. I left my Fusion Cores at home in my ammo chest, and one of the ladies stole the Fusion Cores and donned a suit of Power Armor while I was away. I also caught her several times sporting Legendary weapons she sniped from the chest as well. So now, I carry the Fusion Cores on me regardless of whether I have no guests or a few guests at Red Rocket. My Supply people get the better weapons and armors first, as I level up what I'm able to get for myself, considering my turrets usually are capable to defeat most attacks before the settlers get really involved. Attack spawn locations are very reliable, so I've learned where to best place the correct amount of static defenses. Overall, your best deterrent is to keep settlers out of your home base period, which is applicable in the real world too. Comment 164, Like 601.

I always put storage in the back of my old house in sanctuary, all my armor and weapons in boxes for each and never had a problem

I never really had issues like this because I always used home plate for my player base, storing all my goodies there! But in my first playthrough I did have issues with them taking power armor I’d leave at sanctuary temporarily. But my current playthrough I actually took the time to craft them all plasma rifles using the manufacturing DLC! (I don’t recall if the plasma weapons can be crafted by default of it was a mod, but I think it was a vanilla option to make plasma pistols) and then I also outfit them with all the unique clothing options I find in the wastelands, so they all look unique. Sometimes I’ll make themes. I do use a mod to put ballistic fiber mods on all clothing though for them. So they aren’t totally squishy. But it’s actually a lot of fun to equip them all! Sometimes I give different weapons than plasma pistols, depending on outfits. Like if I equip them in like a fisherman outfit from far harbor I’ll give them a harpoon gun or something. But it’s fun! It’s like fallout shelter but with fallout 4 when I do it like this

No matter where you put your weapons. High low in safes it does not matter. You don't even have to be their. As long as there is ammunition for it, npc will take that weapon. Just so as long as it is better than theirs. I make max weapons fir my people never have issues.
