Whats the relation between this piece and Couperin?

The composer gave this title to this piece in order to pay tribute to the Couperin, a family of contemporary great French musicians (who were appointed to the organon of Saint-Gervais church in Paris. They lived nearby as indicates an inscription near the entrance of this church (on François Miron street).

What a loss - other players talk about devils & angels in French baroque repertoire. He creats them. rip Petr, now it's nearly 2 years that people in the enormous crematory in Prague said their final adieu!

I begun playing the viola da gamba two years ago, and one of pieces I knew I simply had to learn was this one. Now that I've finally begun to learn the piece, I've found this recording quite helpful in figuring out the fingerings for each chord. Thank you Mr. Wagner, for inspiring newcomers to this instrument even after your passing.
