I've always like their music growing up but I earned a new respect for this band from their documentary. The bond that they had was tremendous and how musicians should behave. He is also proof that people who are well read are extremely interesting and intelligent.

He wasn’t just a drummer. He was a master percussionist who also happened to pen the most thought provoking and intelligent lyrics ever in music. Oh and a best selling author to boot. Rest easy, Professor! 😔

I don't know, I think Canada's done pretty well for its self in terms or rock with Rush, Tragically Hip, Unleash the Archers, and Skinny Puppy. And they're making it sound like Rush is somehow the only rock band ever to write songs inspired by "nerdy" stuff like Tolkien and D&D... as if that makes them any less badass. Oh yeah, this is one of those shows that made up or ignored shit in order to try to force a joke and attempt to be funny. It's not like this is a documentary on Canadian music or a historical record or anything. Probably doesn't even deserve to be archived on youtube, lol.

I read his books ,very interesting events for a rock star under very unfortunate circumstances during the bands hiatus . although I'm surprised the record company let him ride a motorcycle throughout a tour I've heard of people like Steve Vai whom couldn't ride his bikes within the dates of the record deal even when home an off the road. I'm glad he made it through unharmed And enjoyed him live around 9 times up un till the last one 2015. He was and will always be an inspiration.

What a colossal waste of time. Neil was so gracious and humble. It was nice to see how he handled this awkward situation. Bill bloviates too much back then and I believe squandered his guest’s time. I used to think his show was so good back then😆

Not to nitpick-and the overly-common irritant of the mispronunciation of Neil’s last name notwithstanding-but you’d think they’d at least *try* to get the information right in these interviews…that was, of course, Time Stand Still, and most certainly NOT Distant Early Warning playing at 3:29, despite the fact they chose to put the latter title up on the screen.
