Wow, I'm shocked. This worked. Mine wasn't unplugged, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in. It was little tricky to plug back in but I separated the camera from the back and was able to wiggle it back in. Then I snapped everything back together and it worked!! Thank you!

what are the signs of a broken hard drive? My laptop has stopped turning on but the light comes on when you press power. It's not the charger or battery.

I have taken the lid off of a working hard drive and used it that way. It will work. Probably not very long. But I was able to read files etc. Not recommended for data recovery, but fun to see it work.

My adapters are Dell OEM units that work fine on other Dell laptops. Finally used an old PRO3X E-dock which bypasses the AC jacks on my 2 bad laptops (E7250 and E7450), and they now charge and run faster. BIOS also indicates correct wattage. The E-dock works with all Dell E-serries laptops. Note: The dock requires a 90W adapter to operate.

What size tools did you use on those screws? Lost the "bios chip" from my Samsung drive that had a LOT of really important data on it when I attempted to fix the drive. Wish I'd seen this video. I'll never get that data back again. I've had 3 Seagate drives just stop working. No other hard drives fail as often as Seagate's. If this fixes my current on I am going to be so mad at myself for throwing out the other two.

This is the worst intel iMac ever for the follwing reasons: 1. No NVMe Socket or SATA port 2. Can't boot Windows from exetrnal Thunderbolt 3/4 enclsoure due to firmware limitation (Intel DMA Protection and Apple Implementation) 3. Bootcamp is very bad and does not run as usuall (like 2019 and older models) due to T2 Chip managing the Internal Nand-flash SSD which cause peformance and stability issues 4. The T2 chip settings (startup utility from recovery) is very limited and finicky 5.Every macOS update needs a special firmware updsaet to boot and prevent booting from older version if the setting is set to full security in the startup recoevry Waste of money. Do not buy it

If you have a million-dollar business on an HDD, including beefy crypto-wallets in there - don't be afraid to lend those HDD's to repair shops. There are honest fellas working there, and they won't steal your crypto _(or recover your private files, which you thought you deleted for good)_ - especially considering that they won't get caught for it afterwards, as crypto is basically offshore, therefore there are no federal laws behind it.
