BEST METHOD YET!! Apart from exposing a board, this has been the most successful. You sound close to Formby..?? Info like this is priceless. Thanks again

It always amazes me when DIY people can't figure out a DIY tripod. They can turn lead into gold, but can't hold a camera still

Great video tutorial! It covers almost all the complex production processes in a simple and step-by-step manner. I have a new question: how should I proceed if I want to make a transparent PCB board?

Well! I've tried and tried and tried and no way can I get this method to work🤨 should have spent the time using the photo resist film method. I realise some have had success but I tried different magazines, different strengths of acetone, different pressure on the paper, no result at at all - I give up as I'm just time wasting.

BUY A TRIPOD!!! The idea was great, your production , not so much... No music, better dialog, and something to hold the camera would probably triple your views. Definitely keep it up 🙃

Can I download your pcb file? and is it in correct scale? also, At 1:30 I don't understand this part. Can I just cut magazine paper in A4 size, put in the printer , then print it out?
@FishingFan24 ай бұрын
Doesn't work (for me!) nail polish remover permiates through the glossy paper (sealed all round) soaks the board and the print disperses all over the board.

Hi!

What did you do here? Mk6 tdi airlocked after changing the fuel filter
@naeemmiah145 ай бұрын
Did you manage to sort it?
@m_itch_w98255 ай бұрын
the way i do it: fill the filter housing with diesel, put the new filter in it and let it soak up the diesel. after that fill the housing to the top and just push the lit on.. make shure you put a rag underneath it because acces diesel will spill out.. started directly without any problems, no VCDS needed

Mine did too. Was my first fuel filter change on a tdi so I think I screwed up a bunch. I ended up pulling a vacuum on the HP line to get the air out. I did it using a combination of pulling a vacuum with an oil extractor and using my scan tool to run a priming cycle. Beware though, almost 5 litres comes out from a priming cycle.

Note how the ink of the glossy page has also transferred, reinforcing the toner.

Good job, thanks! The only thing that I would like to change is the way you remove the laser printer ink from the board, since I believe that the steel wool can damage the little copper paths. Probably a specific solvent might be a better solution. Again thanks!

Well, I have done my first transfer from a glossy paper to the pcb. I used a test pattern from a site that I will put the link at the end. This test pattern has a lot of fine/thin lines and small smd pads. What I see is that the transferred ink to the pcb is much wider and would cause the shortages! So this is not going to work. So for people that figured it out maybe some insight what part I do wrong? What (and how) have I used: a glossy paper from a magazine, HP LaserJet 1020 (with a clone cartridge), nail polish remover, acetone free (the brand is CIEN, which is I believe a LIDL supermarket brand, with the following ingredients: Ethyl, Acetate, Alcohol Denat., Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Parfum, Benzyl Benzonate, Limonene, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Geraniol). I taped the glossy onto the pcb, soaked the glossy paper with nail polish remover and used gloves to rub with my thumb over the glossy paper. After some "good" rubbing for a few minutes I put that into water and soaked it for a few minutes, and could easily take the paper from the PCB. What I think is going WRONG is that by rubbing with my thumb I spread the INK sideways. I think I should use some other principle of applying the force. like some rubber/silicone roller or otherwise. Ideally some high vertical and EVEN distributed force. Any opinions welcome. Link to the PCB layout test patterns (I have used the top one): electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/23089/pcb-test-patterns-to-assess-etch-quality

Second attempt: used somewhat thicker glossy from elektro DATA magazine (Dutch magazine). Mounted and taped the glossy on the pcb. Purred some nail polish remover over it and put a flat hard glass plate and applied 90kg of weights. It was sitting there maybe even longer then 30min, as I had something else to do. The result was much worse then the first one 😁 Was it to long? Was the force too high? Paper no good? ... looking for the recipe ... I would like to try some kind of rubber roller..
