They were going to have the Brady kids switch to Alice Cooper style glam metal in the next season, but unfortunately the show was canceled before that idea came to fruition. They had laid down basic tracks for two songs ("Black Mass and Jackrabbits" and "Wicked Witch Abraggha").

🤮... this schlock just varifies how unbelievably stoned we were in the 70's !! Really, think about it, not a one of us even noticed that, in the movie " Grease", the entire student body of Rydell High School was over 35 years old.

So why didn't Barry Williams get a recording contract? The records would have sold.

They were hoping this would be another "I Think I Love You": which topped the charts very recently before this. But none of the Brady songs ever even charted like the Partridge Family's did.

Marsha was the best but love all of them and everyone worked great together on the set. Great memories and of course I saw all the episodes as they came out hehe. Also remember during this time the Osmond singing group was bigger then life and every you g girls room was plastered from top to bottom and even the ceilings with Osmond posters it was a crazy time. Still good friends with Alan Osmond to this day, a great group of people. Thanks for all the wonderful comments made here over the years.

I always found it a little distracting when Cindy stops singing and smiles as Greg sings to her, because her singing is supposed to be part of the background vocals but the background vocals don’t change at all between her singing and not singing. I mean obviously they were using a pre-recorded track but they didn’t have to be so obvious about it Lol.

bass and drums are amazing (Wrecking Crew, exact same highest-tier session musicians heard on oodles of hits across multiple genres with/for innumerable groups) Brady Kids had the same familiar faces all-star studio musicians as the Monkees, Mamas and the Papas, Beach Boys, Frank, Barbara, etc. They (Wrecking Crew) were the best technically, PLUS they became used to jamming together. You can hear they jive like clockwork together. So they weren't technically a band with locked members. Nevertheless, the same little group of "first call" musicians end up working together over and over for many years, resulting in an elite club of sorts. I think they ruled for about 20 years.

First of all, so-called "Barry Williams" wasn't even his real birth name? I think it's a disgrace and shows complete disrespect of one's heritage to change their birth name, unless when a woman gets married. If a woman gets married and DOESN'T change her last name, that shows no respect to her husband. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the name "Barry William Blenkhorn"?! The change was probably made as the result of a greedy Business Manager, with respect to perceived anticipation of greater recognition and subsequent monetary gain?!

Never heard this before. I know Maureen could sing too, but I don't know about the others. The only two singers in The Partridge Family were David Cassidy and Shirley Jones. The other kids were dubbed.
