@@scetchport I suppose it depends on one's accent and down there in Springfield and other parts of the Ozarks they have thick accents. Missouri/Missourah is where the Midwest and the Southren states meet.

After seeing this on OGWT I was hooked. Saw them soon after at the Rainbow. Still my favourite live band. Hoping to see them in the US soon.

When my daughter comes home to visit we have to play OMD on the ride home from the airport. They are our hometown boys and she says nothing says home like the Dares.

Jaimoe is still with them here.... he would be replaced with David "Frankie" Toler in November 1980... a decision that the band regretted later on, and Jaimoe was back for the one-off reunions in 1986/1987 as well for the full comeback in 1989.

@@truckerkevthepaidtourist Well considering the UK has provided the US with far superior music likes of Zeppelin etc & in return we endured the likes of OMD.

A group of All-Star musicians, a tight band that plays with both esprit and precision, music that is a bit off of the beaten path, and a vastly underrated band that deserved a much wider audience.........Although their music is different, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils remind me very much of Little Feat.
