I love the mix of diptychs and the woman outside of canyon almost looks like an ad or commercial shot for something.

I thought the pittie at 2:51 would be my favorite shot in this video (I adore pitties!), but the tagger from above, through the chain-link fence, is just fantastic. Cheers!

It's weird to assume someone lacks confidence just based on that. Not everyone likes to take photos of people.

Either you've redecorated or (un)mirrored yourself! 😆 On topic: yeah, sometimes you have those days where you're just not feeling it or just can't get into the groove. It happens, we learn what we can and next time it will definitely be better.

I like the discussion and thought process and although not the original intention maybe, the simplicity of just going out and taking photos. Love the diner photos a lot but totally on board with needing more activity around to take photos almost like I'm breaking a social contract to take photos solo but I also wouldn't hesitate if I was using a phone.

I see that your photos were only taken in ROMA/CONDESA, they are amazing, but Mexico City is not just that area, in the Zocalo there are more places that are incredible to photograph, Bellas Artes, Monumento a la revolucion, Coyoacan, Tlatelolco...There you will find areas that truly represent Mexico. Postscript: I loved your video, greetings.
@yewonperry

if you watch the whole video, including my other ones from last year, some of those places were photographed. you also have to consider that not everyone takes photos everywhere they go, so locations might seem to be limited.

I love this video and seeing the style changes based on the type of light too. Also hate to use the word vibes, but the sun glow in the latter half of photos (and I think the bloom from the glimmer glass?) really creates a nostalgic film feel.

I had a bit of unintentional "audible vertigo" at the 3:13 mark...another vlog I follow religiously uses the music you have at that point as their intro music, so my brain is like, "Why am I not seeing THEM right now?!" :) Anyway, agreed on diners and old-school restaurants, which tend to have more color and more lines than the more "minimalistic" stuff you see these days. At least, that's how it seems to me. Cheers!

Oh, and agreed on cars as subjects! I haven't figured out what it is yet about them. When I'm photographing a car, I'm likely now to get up close and do a photo of some part of the car.

Adrian Vila's photos is good inspiration for me. I've started to think about the idea of photographing things around the house, particularly related to cooking & food. I browse Pinterest and IG for inspiration.
