Never thought I'd see rain photos from always-sunny LA! That was a nice change of scenery. I also like the diptych idea with the shadows!

it was definitely a nice change for sure! it's supposed to rain again for the next few days, so i'm hoping to get more photos : ) yay i'm glad - maybe i'll do a video on all the shadow diptychs i take throughout the year!

@@yewonperry I have an Xpro3 and I love the fact that I can choose different focal lengths. Don't you miss that? I ask this because it's not a huge price difference if we consider that Fujicrons are "affordable"!

Love your videos! I recently bought a camera and went out to capture some shots at the santa monica pier while it was raining, not a lot of people, and a very different perspective on my shots since everyone usually captures it when the sun is out!

Another great video, love the subject/shadow diptych. The Yick Fat building in Hong Kong, aka Transformers building is awesome. Some of the residents have thrown water and other stuff at photographers because they thought they were shooting into the windows.Definitely worth the long subway ride to get there. Have a great week.

NO WAY! yeah, definitely a long way to get there but it's so worth it. i haven't been to hong kong in a few years & i plan on going back soon, so i hope i can get some amazing shots while not interrupting the residents there :' )

@@yewonperry Our first was named Cane, which was short for his racing name, "Hurricane". (Which is funny because he was a very bad racer--they retired him from the track after he came in dead last in just four races.) We had him for 8 years until he got sick and passed in 2022. Last year we adopted a big guy whose racing name was "Hulked Out" (I am NOT making that up!), but we changed his name to Hobbes because he looks like he has tiger stripes, a la "Calvin and Hobbes".

Interchangeable lenses = heavier camera which means , how are you going to hold an umbrella? And with you living in a location famous for its rainfall 🤷 I just read that the rain has been relentless this weekend in LA! Hope you haven’t been badly affected!

LA is famous for its rainfall?? lol i used full frame DSLRs for 10+ years and the weight isn't an issue 💁🏻‍♀️

AH! those are some simple templates/layouts i made for all of my photos. i do this via photoshop, but you can do it within your video editing program as well.

i haven't thought about getting an interchangeable lens camera since my 5dmkiii like... 10+ years ago. i always preferred using prime lenses and never really felt the need to get anything wild. although it does limit me from taking certain shots at times, i'm pretty satisfied with the fixed lens i have. i maybe think about having an interchangeable camera once a year.
