You said there is about 1/2 inch between the double walls of the lid. The drill bit looked longer than that. Did you drill through both walls? Did the new rivets go through both walls? A shot of the under side of the lid when completed would have been nice.
@kevinbucner2739
@kevinbucner2739 4 ай бұрын
The rivet goes through one wall and hole is through one wall only. You don't see the rivet on the other side.

If you run in rough waters, I run in lake Michigan with 2-3 ft anytime and no problems whatsoever. I have the base mounted with bolt and nut tru the deck , fender washers under the deck, solid.

Nice video! Does contact cement work better than outdoor carpet glue, I haven't seen anyone else use that for boat carpet. I have to replace my carpet on my nitro this year, just trying to find what works the best and easiest to work with.
@kevinbucner2739
@kevinbucner2739 6 ай бұрын
In my opinion contact cement is best. I did a nitro 10 years ago and still looks like the day I did it. Contact cement is way more expensive so prob that's why people don't use it but once it grabs you can't adjust so be careful take your time.

Awesome video! Dont think I could have done it without this step by step video. So I installed the byrd shelix cutterhead yesterday and the one thing I noticed is when you install the cutterhead into the gear box bearing there seems to be some side to side play is this normal? All the bearings seem to be good. But it does seem to have some vibration. I wasn't sure if it was all the way in and didnt want to break that bolt attached to the small gear. It does spin nice and smooth. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks Aaron.

EXCELLENT video - Thanks for sharing and explaining the procedure to prepare and winterize a Yamaha Waverunner! I have watched several, and this by far is the BEST - Very thorough and informative!! I am looking to purchase a pair of 2020 Yamaha FX Cruiser HO machines and what the dealers charge to service them is extremely expensive. Following your instructions and direction, I feel quite comfortable doing it myself. I just have to figure out your antifreeze configuration and container!

You did not rotate in reverse its motion. Why? That precludes a different 'pattern' on micro surface polishing, ad allows oxides deposites to burn and collect.

Why not just use sheet metal screws instead of rivets?
@kevinbucner2739
@kevinbucner2739 Жыл бұрын
If you will drill new holes you may be able to use screws but using the same holes, screws won't hold , and second the material is not thick enough to hold screws

Thanks for sharing. Very helpful of you because I’ve been plumbing a while. You shared a secret. Too bad there is no flanged tail piece type of gasket for that. But this water heater has me in a bind. This thing is crazy. It’s crazy in your video so trust and believe. I called customer service. They said they would Send a technician. I spit out my drink! Hell I’ am a technician. I just have one that says lock out. Internal sensor I don’t know the first plumber that knows anything about these. 😂🤷‍♀️ P I A
