Great info, but……. You neglected the part I wanted to know the most. The end of his question was, and what I want to know about, is the shortened Pittman arm a good idea. I see them for sale but wonder what you give up for what you gain?

FYI I ran Evapo Rust in my model A and in a few days drained it and flushed it clean worked great.

That's George. He had a stroke and can't use half of his body, so rather than give up, he bought that because it has automatic trans, power steering, etc. and he still joins us! So, yep- We welcome Shays.

Day late and a dollar short, but I hope you guys had a great fourth. We were traveling to visit our widowed aunt so I missed the video debut. We are having a good time and expect you are too! We remembered to thank God for the wonderful country we are privileged to be born into and live in.

All my windshield slides have only one detent. Yours has 6+. What gives? I don't recall slippage with it extended fully, even on bumpy Model A roads.

The bend to the exhaust manifold often is too great putting pressure on the front of the flange causing it to break. Had muffler shop tip it forward a few degrees to have it seat square on the exhaust ball. Buddy just bends the pipe putting a little kink at the front flange weld. Can not really tell in the video but figure with Ford drawings and correct clamps all this should not be needed.

Hi Friends! Natural disasters are probably the worst. MORE Prayers for everyone in NM with those horrible fires. We are in hurricane season here in the south, and there is a potential of a storm coming up soon. Tina, if I could move as fast as you, my dailiy driver might just look almost as good as Gandolf! That spray stuff sure is pretty sweet! Will have to get some of that! Have a GREAT week! (YOU too Paul!)

Check the 6 volt battery and terminals AND the contacts in the foot starter pedal. Unless you have starter issues, that's ALL there is to check on a Model A. To TEST your starter, get a 12 volt battery and connect it DIRECTLY to the starter. That will show you if you need new brushes on the starter. Yeah, I've done this to tens of THOUSANDS of six-volt cars when I pumped gas for a living! We had a 1/2" square copper buss bar wrapped in three miles of friction tape for a handle, we "jumped" the solenoids on starters with. Bad switch or solenoid? I could start it!

No A/C, no wind wings🤣. Prayers and blessings for NM but good news, Ruidoso fires are now 77% contained; all zones are now open to residents. All 29 people who had been unaccounted for after New Mexico fires have been found. 👍

Just a quick question about seat belts, don’t think I’ve heard you mention them, all states have that buckle up it’s the law, yet I don’t see seat belts in Gandaft, is there a grandfather clause that allows you to not have them?

Hi, most of our Model A’s have seat belts even my Roadster, but Gandalf didn’t come with any and we will not be installing them, it will be up to the new owner to do that if they need to or wish to. In CA anyway, the older cars are grandfathered in, so no seat belts are required. We have friends that have a Roadster type A and one day they got in a wreck and rolled down a hill, what saved them was they were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the car which saved their lives with very minimal injuries…if they had been seat belted in, they would have died. You never know, you can only do your best to stay safe and hope it’s enough.

In Indiana , if it didn't have them from the factory they're grandfathered in . I had an ISP officer suggest that I add them to my '30 Bantam , I just looked at him , and asked " how am I going to get thrown out of this thing ? " After watching us get in the thing , he had to admit that we were wearing the little fella .
