If it keeps saying 7 scrub the metal with the green part of a sponge and makes it work better but the reading do seem to be a lil bit off

What if your growing in 15 gallon pots and want to know the pH of the middle, bottom, and sides? Not just the first inch

If you're growing in fabric pots you can easily push a hole in the side. On my last solid grow I was gently pushing a hole through the bag into the soil with the metal EC probe, then reusing the same hole for the pH probe. I am also happy to find the pH soil probe works perfectly well in solution. I guess in phatic pots and were serious about getting a reading you could easily drill a hole through the pot...

Mine reads 7.0 right out of the package on every soil I get the chance to test on. Got a BlueLab and it seems to read different on most soils I try it on. I guess the BlueLab is broken since it does not test all soil at 7.0.

Same here...the #$% thing is a #$%$#%ing joke. It always finishes off by displaying "7.0". The meter is pure cr@p.

Huh, that’s weird, I tried it out on the soil at my farm and got a reading of 6.3 ph. You may be using it the wrong way.

He did no prep. Storage solution needs to be rinsed off probe with distilled water. Dry soil should have been disturbed/loosened and moistened with distilled water at the very least.

This meter works perfectly well in solution. Keep an eye on the electrolyte gel.

I tested mine with PH solution it was fine when new, one year later cleaned probe had trouble getting it off 7 when reading apple cider vinager and then vinager lowest it went was 5.7 back to 7 on my water. Hmmmmmmmm

Well, yeah, that’s because you were testing water. Which if its not dirty or salt water almost always has a reading of 7.0 ph.

The digital readout show results from 3.5 to 9.0 pH. In this video, it just happens that the soil reading was around 7 pH.
