Happy days...are what I imagine will come when one attains electrical knowledge of the highest order. To me that time is still far off in the distance

Joe, your explanation is just brilliant. Thank you very much for all your efforts here. The only thing which is disappointing me is, KZfaq - it doesn’t allow me to give you thousands of likes😊. You deserve it

In power factor correction, are we correcting the phase difference between the current and voltage of the public power supply company or is it correction of the inductive loads which could be water pump or any other kind of load. Secondly, do resistive loads have phase difference? Does it mean when the loads are purely resistive the power factor is at its maximum theoretical value of 1?

Let A, B, C the currents, we have I = Asin(x)+Bsin(x+2pi/3)+Csin(x+4pi/3). This can be simplified to sqrt(A^2+B^2+C^2-AB-BC-CA)sin(x+Φ). So, sqrt(A^2+B^2+C^2-AB-BC-CA) is the formula.

So with the current being out of phase, it looks like current is flowing in two different directions through the circuit at the same time. Can current do that or is the current trying to go two different directions but it can’t so you get the amount/direction of current that you show where the two parallel lines of the current intersect? Great job on the videos, learning a lot so thank you!

Joe my partner somehow changed the settings on her Casio FX series calculator and she can't seem to do decimal times fraction without making it a scientific notation as the answer She has no idea how to get her calculator to do it now. Second year City and Guilds training her final exam is in 10 days Her calculator was working fine but she is not sure what she done to mess it up can you help her reset her Casio FX to be able to do the correct thing

In a power grid, does the amount of electricity produced by power plants depend on the real-time demand for electricity? It seems counterintuitive because power plants like those with diesel engines run constantly, spinning a coil within a magnet. This process seems independent of how much electricity people are using at a specific time. Here's what I'm still curious about: Does the engine in a power plant (e.g., diesel engine) constantly use the same amount of fuel regardless of electricity usage? If no one is using electricity, wouldn't there be wasted energy just building up in the system from the constant rotation? How does the grid manage the balance between a power plant's constant generation and the varying demands of electricity users?

About the zero current, Can we think of it in terms Kirchhoff's current law? Not only when at peak values , but also at different points indicated by the graph, where we can add or subtract the 3 phase(r,y,b) values depending on whether it is in the Positive(up/forward) or Negative(down/negative).

I've done 7 years of maths in grammar school, 3 years of maths at university (Physics BSc), and more since (during a PgDip and now another BSc). And nobody has explained things the way you have in this video, and the previous one on the Pythagorean theorem (i.e. so it is intuitive and makes sense in the real world).
