Fun fact. Tosin uses no delay...he's using a double thumb technique borrowed from Victor Wooten

All versions of King Crimson have been interesting, but when I heard this instrumental years ago I thought this was a full assault by a truly talented group of musicians. No one can say KC was boring !! I got a chance to see the three headed ( drummers ) monster twice, and both times I was stunned by their performance.

If you think that Phil Collins’ drumming on this track is phenomenal then can I suggest that you check out Steve Hackett’s band playing this track live. Gary O’Toole on drums give an absolute masterclass demonstration of drumming.

Oh, you wanna hear a bass/musical masterclass, do Wonderous Stories by Yes. Bach himself would raise his hat at the bass part.l

Well done, you picked up on the nuances of this piece, one which has moved me since its release in 2017. Once you know it, there's such artistry and depth...among the finest musicians, and musicality, around today.

You got it, my man. It's such beautiful, heartfelt music, exquisite in every way...few can be this good. Thanks for posting! Can you do Venus Isle Reprise or 12 to 12 Bar?

I got this album on tape for 50p in a virgin megastore bargain bucket in the late 90s. Best value bit of media i ever bought for hours of entertainment. 😅

I'm happy that you are totally free from the prejudice of the English music press of the 80s and 90s, which projected a completely disproportionate hatred towards the band. Perhaps their highly sophisticated rock-pop-prog style was a "danger" to the music industry and should be destroyed.

The songs composed by Steve Harris are always too long, they last 12/15 minutes, Hell on Earth has a melody and a unique sound you can always hear they inserted a keyboard you can hear it in the background of the Senjutsu album and it looks great. and the last track in the Senjutsu album written by Steve which never tires, I don't like the previous two tracks very much. Bruce was getting his voice back in 2021 after throat cancer. To all the true Maiden fans, in the song Hell on Earth, she says: when I die I would like to see you all again, from the darkness of oblivion, we will see hell on earth, and heaven ever further away. A text that must make everyone reflect, no wars, no violence, on no one.☮❤☮❤🤘🤘🤘🙏🙏

Much of the music criticism that massacred Marillion in the 80s and 90s has now died, become senile or fallen into irrelevance. I'm happy to see that the new generations - free from prejudice and the hateful opinions of unhappy journalists - are appreciating Marillion's music more and more.

This album was the spearhead of the jazz rock movement. Sure John Mclaughlin had already jazz rocked out with the great Tony Williams Lifetime but the finesse of this music brought the genre to a wider audience encouraging the record labels to support other fusion bands... The rockiest jazziest fusion , the high water mark IMHO. And they recorded the whole album in about a day and a half. Seeing them live in this era was a revelation.
