So how do I see video timeline background so I can work out timings for text?
@RyanOsborneUKКүн бұрын
@@BOTG_Adventures in fusion add a media in node and there should be an option to select “background” 👍

This video is useless. It does not show how to create a custom effect. Instead it discuss already created effect. Misleading title, dislike.

Can davinci do everything after affects can do ?
@RyanOsborneUK18 күн бұрын
That’s a complicated question. It can do A LOT of what it can do. I’ve used it as an AE replacement for a long time now and I’ve yet to find something I can’t work out how to achieve.

wonderful tut, thanks. i'm still wondering if I should bother to get used to davinci when these days I'm doing less effect work and more just basic trimming and joining of a lot of videos with minimal editing

This is a very informative video. Now that Adobe has become predatory, I'm looking for an alternative. DaVinci Resolve looks like a potential candiate.

It’s got a lot of what Adobe offers. Made the switch a few years back and although I have a wish list for resolve, I believe it’s the future

I use davinci resolve, since when it was basically for color grading, I really liked being able to do almost everything on the same platform, but after that the development in relation to motion graphics never went forward, with some additions for video editing, some AI thing. But graphic animation was never for davinci resolve, fusion. In fact, it was now about integration, with broadcasting for TV and the technical part of cinema, camera integration, storage, among others, but not motion graphics. Which doesn't make sense to me, because it's closely linked and at one point or another the person will migrate to another platform because they miss it

I've watched many videos about how to save my Fusion comps for reuse and this is the first one that took the time to explain it in enough detail that I could understand what I had been doing wrong, and what I need to do going forward. THANKS!

Considering Affinity is not planning to create an alternative video editor, I think it would be really useful if both Serif and Resolve did a collaboration. At the end of the day, it would benefit both companies.

How do you use motion pal? The 'tutorial' stops when you get to the curves section and this is the point I am stuck at... I double click, try to drag, nothing happens... any ideas? There's nothing online about it... help!

Same feeling. I switched to DaVinci about a year ago... The learning curve in Fusion is painful at first but then you enjoy it immensely. Unfortunately, I have been very discouraged with DaVinci Resolve and the mographs, I do what I can in Fusion and they look great, but I know that with AE that work would only take a quarter of what it takes me to do in Fusion. Aside from how limited Fusion feels, I know you can do a lot of things that you can do in AE, but let's face it, it will take a lot longer. The AE community is also much larger, just looking at the amount of plugins out there to optimize your workflow is completely insane. I think I'll make the jump back to Adobe, mostly because of the amount of plugins they offer to speed up your workflow.
