I wonder if she feels that she has lost her identity because she hasn't fully realized the identity she has evolved into. Destiny, you're not the same person as when you were single. You've evolved into a wife, now a wife and a mother. You have gained new roles that others are looking to you to fulfill. You have not lost or abandoned who you were. You are now having to step into new roles that are accompanied with new tasks. These new roles simply build on top of who you were. You should not feel guilty about needing to take care of your emotional, mental, and physical state. If you aren't well taken cared of, how do you expect to take care of your loved ones? In addition to having your alone time with the Lord, and a date-night with your husband, may I suggest to incorporate into your schedule a ladies group, or gym time etc. From one mom to another, you are doing a great job, I am so proud of the love and care you are depositing into your family. You are valued and loved greatly by your Creator. May God give you insight, wisdom, and discernment on how to operate and function well. ❤

Sounds like this woman is trying to be a super-woman and is feeling guilty because she thinks everyone else makes it look easy. Her family don't realize that we all need "ME TIME." The family might not see how she feeling overwhelmed. I've been there before, and I acted like I was happy.

If you belong to Jesus, it's never too late to have a family. It may not look like what you may have previously expected, but you can Still have one and a satisfying and Blessed one at that. Once when I was lamenting have to let go of someone who was not good for me and feeling a strong sense of loss, the Lord told me " There's no loss in me". If we be in Christ....... He will ALWAYS make a way when we look to Him to do so because He absolutely Loves to fill in the gaps and voids of our hearts and lives and make us whole.

This was great and right on the money! I've been going through a rough marriage myself, all because of ME and what my expectations were of my spouse. Once you get that shift in view like you explained, it is very freeing! Not that it's been easy, but the joy from being obedient to the Lord will get you through and will please Him as we are conformed to the image of Christ.

Compromise is overrated? The Bible says to submit therefore one to another. Wives submit yourselves to your husbands. Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. Sacrifice and submission. Sounds like compromise to me.
@2kostasd
@2kostasd 3 күн бұрын
BIG difference between compromising and submitting. Compromise leads to resentment, but submission leads to joy because you submit as unto the Lord. She actually explained it real well. It becomes a "you" understanding and not a "them" understanding. You do it out of obedience to the Lord so that you can become the individual Christ wants you to be. Hard, yes, but very freeing!

Fantastic. And what I see are black and white folk having fun together, relating to life together, and poking fun at one another. The way it really is for a majority of all of us. Take note all ye race baiters and haters, enjoy the spotlight because your time is up. The rest of us see the world as it IS and not as is was long ago. The rest of us want to enjoy life in peace and harmony with all people. Awesome stuff. Happy I came upon this even though two years later. 🙏

Good advice, bro. Let God keep working through you. You’re an inspiration to a lot of people. Too many people try to do it on their own without God and wind up fighting themselves, their spouse AND God. That’s a lose-lose-lose situation. God bless and fight the Good Fight! Amy’Son out!

Great stuff, MJ! Very helpful. As a comedy writer myself, I’m curious to know how you organize and store for retrieval the jokes you write. I’m looking for a method to do it without using computers. I don’t trust computers not to break down and I’ve lost stuff in the cloud so I don’t rely on it. Besides, ALL of the successful pre-computer comedians did it without computers. The real OGs! Any suggestions? God bless and Write on! Amy’Son says love you…bro!
