August in Texas is miserable. We have decent weather most of the year except for mid July to mid September. We also have strong thunderstorms in the spring. The best time of year to visit is fall. It’s normally sunny days about 70° and not a lot of rain. It’s a beautiful state but stay away in August.

Awesome video ! Im pretty much looking at that exact trailer. Im up in the air between the 1000 and 1500 Goal zero. Would you change that if you could? Also, are your galley shelves 24"? P.S........You sold me on the toolbox. Again, great content. Thank you

Excellent video and a lot of very useful information and experience. Thank you for posting. BTW, you should not be jerking on that handle at the beginning of the video because it is a good way to hurt your back (take care of your health).

I'm seriously considering a Hiker. What kinds of problems have you had with the propane heater? I was considering using a Diesel heater until I found out about the propane option but if the Diesel is going to be less headache I'll make the mod myself.

This was such an enjoyable video to watch. I just clicked on it for the cozy desk before reading the full title and was surprised to see mountain biking, one of my favorite hobbies. I'm also a professional (3D) artist so this video resonated very heavily with me. My desk or routine is definitely not as peaceful or structured, but this is great inspiration to make some changes! Thanks for sharing!

I think one of the coolest mods I’ve seen in binging Hiker videos is not a slide out galley shelf, but one that attaches to the edge of the middle shelf and folds up over the galley opening. It folds down and is secured by an L-shaped brace inserted into the rear hitch. Now that I’m thinking about it, you could also do it like a drop-leaf table and allow it to drop down to close off the bottom area of the galley to help keep bugs out when you don’t need the table. I don’t have a Hiker yet but my brain is in full gear in plans of getting one eventually! Nice video. You are inspiring! Keep up the good work! Adventure On!

Fantastic! Good for you. How do you go about purchasing this trailer? I'm in Boston and I suspect you ordered through the company but how was it delivered? Thank you, I'm 54 yrs old camp up at Pillsbury State Park NH and getting sick and tired of wrestling with my tent and the mattress options aren't great. Appreciate your video! 👊

We bought the AirStream Basecamp a few years back and there really wasn’t that much useable space. So, I sold it for a rooftop tent and I am happy that I did. I am now considering a small teardrop/square drop/adventure trailer. Mostly for organization/storage/and a nice dry place to sleep. It seems the prices for these trailers are all over the place. Hiker trailers let you customize exactly what you want without paying for all the stuff you don’t really want. So, I watched your video and the Hiker Trailer seems well built and inexpensive. I will definitely consider purchasing a Hiker Trailer as we plan to go to the Overland Expo in 2024. Thanks for making this video.

I got to hike in Montana for the first time this past August and had the same experience regarding the loose rock up high. Lots of jaggy rock shards that would slide underfoot. A far cry from New England where every boulder and root feels like it's firmly in place.
