how much big can be the fork for this frame on 29´?
@marin_bikes

You can run a fork with an axle-crown measurement of +/- 10mm from stock. Your Marin dealer can help you determine what is best.

So glad to find! doing all the bearings on my 2021 Alpine Trail and couldn't for the life of me figure this out! 6903\6902\6901, the first bolt was totally seized, I torched the allen but it still stripped, I hammered in a T27 torx, and really torched the torx head and the bolt head as much as I dared, then used my mid torque impact on it (so hard to turn wratchet and bike at same time even with swing arm strapped) finally it came out, either threadlock or some kind of corrosion on the two aluminum bolts, what a pain, my bearings are almost totally siezed, amazed it still worked, but I do have like 4000km and 100,000m on this wonderful machine.

Hello! i just bought the trail 4 and I'm considering upgrading my tires to a wider width. Could you please tell me how wide I can go with the tire widths on this bike? Also, will the stock tubes be compatible with the wider tires, or will I need to get new tubes?

This is likely to be my third Marin. I just crushed the Luge and Cadillac in the OC with my 2022 Alpine Trail E2 and I love making my pals question why they spent $13k on a bike. But hey, don’t want to rub it in too much…😂. I cannot wait to get this bike. I heard the front geo is adjustable!!

Hi i just got the bobcat trail 4 but idk what for airfork to buy so do you have recommendations for what fork to buy?
@marin_bikes
@marin_bikes 15 күн бұрын
We'd recommend working with your local dealer to find the fork that best suits your needs and riding style. Just make sure it uses the same 1 1/8" straight steerer tube and that the axle-crown measurement is +/- 10mm from your stock fork.

Some initial reviews of the XR AXS are out there, and that model has the same frame and suspension as the XR model (only differences are the paint, drivetrain and brakes). We have also sent out six Alpine Trail XRs to US media in the past week, so more reviews are forthcoming. See what awe currently have at www.marinbikes.com/bikes/2024-alpine-trail-xr-axs#reviews

I'm assuming this wheel from modernbike would work wheel-shop-wtb-sti30---shimano-fh-mt400-b-boost-wheel-rear-27.5-holes-32-12mm-ta-148mm-disc-center-lock-shimano-hg. I did find a thru axle on bikesonline but it has 20mm thread length. It looks like that would work even though the thread length is a bit longer.
@marin_bikes
@marin_bikes 26 күн бұрын
Sounds like it, provided you have a Rift Zone 27.5 and not a 29", and your bike has a Shimano HG-compatible cassette. We recommend an axle closer to our spec, as that longer one may bottom out (no more threads) when inserted.
@denbarb3
@denbarb3 26 күн бұрын
@@marin_bikes It’s a 27.5. It still has the original cassette right now but it may be close to time to change it and the chain. Do you have any links for the axle? That’s been difficult to find. I think I found one in spec on bikefabsupply but given the price I’m not sure of the quality. TA-BFS-12B-174-1.5-15: 12MM Ø X 1.5 TP X 174MM BOLT ON THRU AXLE FOR 142/148 HUB

Hello, how long is the fork please? I have a Rudy XPLR and I really like this bike!!! Thanks
@marin_bikes
@marin_bikes 29 күн бұрын
Axle-crown is 405mm. Note that we do not recommend using forks that vary more than 10mm from the stock configuration, so if the Rudy is longer it will void your frame warranty.

@@marin_bikes That's a shame, because the gravel with the MTB Geo is an absolutely perfect candidate for a suspension fork. Maybe in the next edition...
