It does matter how the Qubits are entangled at the beginning as that is precisely what will effect the eventual correlations. See, this is what everyone ignores and partially why the Bell Inequality is not a valid statement.
@bustercam199
@bustercam199 9 сағат бұрын
The Bell inequality is complete rubbish as it neither supports a quantum view nor shows any proof of entanglement. Einstein was likely correct, and the problem needs to be revisited in the search for local hidden variables theories... Clearly, the Nobel committee made a mistake.

Your explanations are always easy to follow even when they lead into the abyss of reality. Please allow 2 questions (and perhaps somebody else in the comments can make useful remarks to it: a) would the full range of solutions be -2.8 <= -2 <= (A,B) <= 2 >0 2.8 or do negative values need to be included; b) that you can save locality and realism as one has a theory how values x and y are related, I don´t need to know what the 2nd party/Bob measures, I introduce one value and the theory: value x and y is a function of x so y = f(x) which allows me to deduct the value Y w/o having it ever measured (sth analog to Maxwell´s demon in TD?)

Could I say that quantum mechanics is like searching for the reflection (realisation) of an imaginary world? Is part of that imaginary world a frequency value, amplitude, phase, under minute thermal fluctuation controlling the value states of the particle?

If you do not have in your team but at least one American J. you never get a Nobel prize. Nikola Tesla Describing Quantum Entanglement In 1891. “Nature has stored up in the universe infinite energy. The eternal recipient and transmitter of this infinite energy is the ether. The recognition of the existence of ether, and of the functions it performs, is one of the most important results of modern scientific research. The mere abandoning of the idea of action at a distance, the assumption of a medium pervading all space and connecting all gross matter, has freed the minds of thinkers of an ever present doubt, and, by opening a new horizon-new and unforeseen possibilities-has given fresh interest to phenomena with which we are familiar of old. It has been a great step towards the understanding of the forces of nature and their multifold manifestations to our senses. It has been for the enlightened student of physics what the understanding of the mechanism of the firearm or of the steam engine is for the barbarian.” -Nikola Tesla “Experiments With Alternate Currents Of Very High Frequency And Their Application To Methods Of Artificial Illumination.” Lecture delivered before the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Columbia College, N.Y., May 20, 1891.

Thanks for amazing video. I have 1 doubt: In our Quantum Circuit, we have not included measurement step for control qubit, target qubit and storing result to cr3 register. But at the end, during post processing, we had used cr3 register. How compiler is sure the results are stored in cr3? When I included these steps, I also had to put i in place of i+1, i.e. in post processing step I put data=result[i].data in place of result[i+1].data. Then program worked. Can you explain it?
@DerekWangIBM
@DerekWangIBM 3 күн бұрын
Thanks for pointing this out. We should have stored to the cr3 register, and then you should put i instead of i+1. I have updated the notebook in the GitHub to correct this.

@@DerekWangIBM In the video, circuit was for odd number of qubits. Is it possible to get corresponding dynamic circuit for long Range CNOT in even number of qubits?
@DerekWangIBM
@DerekWangIBM 2 күн бұрын
@@shikharsrivastava5057 It seems you can remove the first ancilla qubit (qubit index 1 in the whole circuit), making sure to connect the control qubit (qubit 0) to the second ancilla qubit (qubit 2 before, now qubit 1) with a CNOT. On the ancilla qubit, I think you will keep the measurement followed by controlled-X gate on the target. Try that?

I hope to specialize in quantum computing and work at IBM in the future. Since my university only offers classes in Japanese, these videos are truly invaluable to me. I plan to study abroad extensively to improve my English skills and fulfill my dream. Thank you very much, Professor John Watrous. I look forward to the next video!

This would be a much richer post if you explained the terms in ⟨S1⟩∣=∣⟨AB⟩−⟨Ab⟩+⟨aB⟩+⟨ab⟩∣≤2, why three are additive and one subtracted; could any single term be subtracted, if not, why THAT one? Why not some other arrangement? What's the meaning of the terms and the equation? 2.8 is obviously 2* sqrt(2), but you didn't think that was noteworthy?

Actually, there is no 'realism' assumption in Bell’s theorem. This is a very incorrect presentation of the theorem. The only mathematical assumptions, in addition to 'local causality,' are ‘dichotomic outcomes’ and ‘statistical independence’. This is why it is possible to violate Bell’s inequalities by exploiting detection and memory loopholes.
