Thank you for the clarity, as others have said! Would love to see a video of contrasts / group comparisons (sum of squares of contrasts).

This made understanding how to calculate ANOVA easy. However, what do you do with a rejected value? What does it mean?

Someone once said that if you couldn’t reduce it to the freshman level. That means you don’t understand it. Mr. Statistician, you possessed a rare ability to understand and explain it so that even a six-year-old can understand it. Thank you for helping me learn statistics!

Hi David, you are amazing. I am a PhD student in finance and wanted to go back to the basics, in this world of complicated analysis, I forgot the basics, but I have a solid grip now. Thank you for all the videos. It's amazing! although I cannot cite youtube videos in my classes, but ill definately share your link to the students. You are doing a great service.

You managed to take a tooic which is already confusing, and make it more convoluted. Why not start with your formulae and run through what each of them represent, then use them? Bizarre 🙄

If anyone is here 11 years later, for interpreting output in SPSS for factorial ANOVA, we would not have to calculate F crit to determine significance, correct? We would just look at the P-values? Also, are "gender" and "age_group" considered main effects while "Gender * Age_Group" is considered an Interaction?

Good video first of all. However, you use p to define what I've typically seen labeled as α. In most explanations of this problem I find, there is another mysterious "p" value that is used in addition to α, Fₛ, and the critical numerator/denominator values. Is this a different/simplified way of doing this?
@Zoe-fw6kt2 ай бұрын
thanks for your video, all of this explanation is quite understandable, it's better to watch your video rather than sit in the classroom for one hour or two and then understand nothing.
