Where do you get the puppy collars to mark at birth? I can’t find the name on Amazon. Like mask ear things.

We recently adopted a 9 month old. I felt I asked all the relevant questions about her personality, good behavior/bad behavior, crate trained, shed level, comfortable with a busy household etc. Boy was I wrong. Our doodle barks /cries non stop when in her crate, she is not friendly , she won't eat or go potty unless your standing next to her . Ive tried leaving her alone in the backyard to play. Nope wasnt happening . She jumped through our sunroom screen window. Just in case your wondering, I am FT at home, so she gets walks approximately 30 mins. We live in texas so its a morning walk. I spend about an hour, sometimes more with her outside . I break it up into 15-20 minute sets. I work on basic commands or just play time , throwing her toys around with her . If i dont give her attention she becomes insanely clingy. I would have thought after 9 months some of these personality traits would have revealed themselves and the owner would have shared more. I am not pointing fingers simply sharing my experience. Every dog is different, I know. Do your homework maybe visit w/an owner of a puppy doodle and an older doodle if you can find someone. Even asks if you can dog sit. It might help make the right decision for you/family before taking the step of doodle ownership. We are working on rehoming her . I feel encouraged reading all the positive posts that we will find the right home soon.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. The birth of animals never ceases to amaze me; witnessing a new life beginning is so special, whether you see it once or many times. Beautiful🥰😍

They take up alot of your time but you take up alot of their time. They are strange dogs primate really. It's like having a toddler. They want to be everywhere you are. They really like the car. I am retired so he is always with me. He would be stressed to the max if he was ever crated as I would. They are for people who have the time for them period. They are not really a traditional dog. They are more than that and as beautiful as they are you have to have the TIME other wise it's just unfair. My opinion is they are a great advancement in the breeding of dogs in general. The conditions that require them to thrive most of the time are not there and the dogs don't get the recognition they deserve. What a nice dog!

We have always had German Rottweilers, we trained ourselves. Our Doodle went through Something that made him RUN!! behind our legs. (Dog store). We're glad we saved/rescued him. Thank you for getting the message out, because most dont do their homework. Well our baby is trained. He brings in the mail, he gets his towel if he's paws are dirty. He sits behind the steering wheel so he can see you at all times. He took to training when we got him home.

As a retired breeder of 25 years (not doodles), the best thing you can do is have that building and get the puppies out from under your roof. You’re just starting … like you’re only a few years in and so young, but after a while, especially with kids, it will take a toll on your marriage. It’s just inevitable because it’s a lot …like you know and you’ve said it a bunch here… it’s a lot and those who know know. I loved the pups and loved having them in my home until it became too much. Its like your home is a kennel if you will, like you dont really have a home uts a dog home. So much dust and dirt and dander its constant cleaning and painting and fixing things ti make sure your home still looks like a home even though you have crates and playpens and all the dogs inside. Then we never hired help cause who wants people in and out of your home so its basically a 24/7, 365 job with no vacations or free time. I have 2 dogs left and plan to be dog free for a few years after that… Id like a mini doodle in the future and will def look you up…. Thats like in 8 years lol so hopefully you will still be in business. I wish I knew about Guardian homes back in the day, but that just didnt exist. Anyway, best of luck with everything ❤

This is such a wonderful comment. I know breeders who have more dogs than they can properly and sanitarily handle and they all live in their house... which as you said doesn't feel like a home after a while. Bailey is very wise to want the puppies and dogs in a separate area... for so many reasons.

@@khanhhm5762 Ive seen those types also. Its sad. I cared for mine too well and they became everything and that caused a lot of riff in our marriage because all that mattered to me was the babies and the dogs, their grooming, vets, health testing, nails and baths and non stop cleaning cause everything had to be cleaned and cleaned the right way 😮‍💨😮‍💨🤪🤪😅😅 …. Day in day out. Rinse and repeat. Then when babies were born it was really 24/7 care basically and laundry going all day. It became too much and it def caused our marriage to be nonexistent. I loved it, but knew something had to give. I felt stuck the last few years, but I didn’t know another life. It was all I knew since I was so young. We met at 20 and dogs became our life. Making the decision to retire was the best and worst day. Anyway, I dont regret my breeder experience and so many lives changed with my babies and friends made, but do wish we would have done things a little differently. Our marriage is great now, we can finally go places and have people stay over. We have our home back. Bittersweet for sure, but all good things come to an end 🩷

I have followed you for a long time and have always admired your breeding program. I would love to have one of your puppies but the timing has not been right. I love the standards with the tall lanky poodle body build. I also like the more curly ones. So I was disappointed to hear you will be moving away from this type. Do you have any breeder friends that breed this type that you would recommend?

Hello. I am not sure you will do another Q and A but I am wondering if you have decided to not breed Harlow anymore as I know you have tried in the past but it's not happened. Wondering if we could get an up date with that as I always wanted to see what Harlow puppies looked like. Also wondering if it's just America you want the puppies to go to as I would love one of your puppies. I am not able to get a puppy the now because of life but hopefully in the future I would.
