I just passed my board exam 05/02/2024. I want to say thanks for whoever made this video possible. I've probably replayed completely for at least 10, adding the many other for anatomy and the Book MRI in practice the whole 10 chapters of the book.. I got a 90 preliminary score 😢🎉😮 biiiing.. 🏏

I just passed the MRI board at Doral location in Miami this morning with a preliminary score of 90. And I really just wanted to come here and tell everyone who is reading this... that this video was quintessential in my board prep. For which I thank everyone involved in the production of this video. 🎉🎉

I have no experience, but I am interested in MRI and want to be admitted into a competitive MRI program. Would you say that a person with zero knowledge/background can get accepted into this modality? Or is a previous background expected for consideration of an MRI program?

On a personal note, I’m an X-ray tech that cross trained in MRI. I’m sitting for my boards in a couple days for MR. I’m also currently being cross trained into CT. So I can speak from my experience. I’ve spoken to many MRI techs that wish they would’ve started with X-ray so they could do what I’m doing.

Can you see the pancreas pretty well? What about tumors? Or cancers? Or cysts??

Yes you can. The best plane to see the pancreas is in the axial plane as you can visualize the long axis of the pancreas as the organ is horizontal in the abdominal cavity. I hope this helps!

If I comprehend correctly, you said that a post contrast coronal sequence can be constructed from the post contrast axial and sagittal T1 3D isometric sequences. Is that correct? Is this standard practice for a Brain MRI W/contrast, or do I need to request a set of post-contrast coronals? Thanks
@pulseradiology
@pulseradiology 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Dusty, It always depends on the imaging centers protocols that the radiologists set. But to reduce the exam time, there are pulse sequences that are 3D isometric and yes those can be reformatted. So I would run a 3D iso and then reconstruct a sagittal and coronal. I hope this helps!
