Thank you for posting this video. Kettle corn is great at Christmas. I make kettle corn in my small 8 ounce popcorn popper using very similar ingredient ratios of oil, raw corn, and sugar. I had kettle corn from a big kettle just like in this video, and it was VERY GOOD. Saw it at a Christmas carnival. Little kids wanted to get up close and watch, but they did not yet know they could get burned. The kettle and the operator were inside of a fence perimeter to keep people out for safety reasons.

Try a different vender .. Most cooks do it right. The first batch I ever made was perfect. the next 3 were a bit burnt... since then I got it down and figured out how to cook it without burning it.

Hi Daniel. Sorry for late response. The 80qt poppers I use I order from 2 or 3 suppliers here in the USA. I use ALPHA USA and Webstrauant.com They are a Chinese copy of the Hobart 80qt mixing bowl used in most bakeries. In Germany Google restaurant equipment suppliers, try Ebay or a similar, also try a Chinese supplier like www.alibaba.com/. or even Amazon.

Ok this is cool! However, your a welder fabricator...so make a tumbler that's horizontal for tumbling (sifting) and vertical for bagging and pouring. In just saying it'll help a lot! You can make it battery powered too or 120v whichever.

Thanks I hate music on videos like these. As far as the motors go we all use different motors and different suppliers. Partly because the supply has been very hard to get lately... I've been using any high quality motor with a 1/8 HP 110 lbs torque for 80qt poppers and 1/4 hp 150 ftlbs of Tq for big poppers with 80 to 95 rpms and 12 volt only.

Cousin, It's been six years since you made this video. How's your design working out? I'm considering giving you a call to discuss ordering one for Nebraska. And what's your take on NSF ratings? Mine have none and yet our food inspectors never mention anything about it. I realize NSF is not the Government. Your comment about having a clean machine makes a good impression. I was in Anchorage last summer, and went to the downtown street market they have. I used to live there. It's now overrun with trash vendors. The Kettle corn people's "tent" was such a friggin' mess, I just shook my head and kept walking.
@kettlecornsupplies1760
@kettlecornsupplies1760 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. - Yes I'm always surprised how dirty people let their tents get. I tell people to sell or use them for camping or chuck them after 2 or 3 yrs... Clean sells ! ..My Designs are always improving, I think I've got them where I need them to be these days. Call me when your ready -- Mitch -360 477 0257.
