I agree with a lot of what you said.. but I can add a few things. For most people an 1100kv motor is a bit overkill specially paired with a max 5.. for most a 1250kv spectrum or hobby wing motor paired with a max 6 is ALL you need for power.. plus it keeps the truck lighter. Also the center shaft should be upgraded at some point to a 2/3 peice system for flex or you’ll be bending it on big jumps. A few other great upgrades is the aluminum diff covers both front and rear, along with shimming your differential pinion gear with a .2mm shim or close to it.. this keeps the pinion much tighter to the ring gear and coupled with the aluminum diff covers you’ll have ROCK solid diffs weather you use self right or not. Another great addition is aluminum C-Hubs.. the stock plastic ones will break eventually hence why even Traxxas has aluminum C hubs on the new xmaxx ultimate. Another nice upgrade is the extended GPM spur gear shaft with the extra bearing to help support the load of the shaft.. this really helps take the load when running a larger motor with mod 1.5 gearing. One last upgrade I’ll mention is the M2C chassis brace.. for $60 you WONT regret it! It will also save your driveshaft if you’re still running stock because it keeps the chassis more rigid in the center. Silicone ear plugs are great in the center diff if you want more traction and better wheelie and backflip capabilities specially with a larger motor to put more power down.. and I also recommend swapping the front and rear diff out of the box so that the lighter diff fluid is in the rear and the thicker fluid is up front.. this will help a lot with the way the xmaxx handles, steers, and turns. I could go on but that’s good lol

WOW I learnt a lot. This means a lot to me because I’m trying to upgrade my two month old xmaxx 8S and I think I’ve done pretty much everything correct I haven’t really upgraded it. I’ve only just change the colour little bit because the truck came original red but what I’ve done is just put all of the original parts back on it just in a different colour, which is red

I love the traxxas charger. I bought the dual live charger. I don't have traxxas batteries. It works great on non traxxas batteries. Once it's set up it's so so simple. I'm so glad I bought it.

I just got an airsoft, charged to battery used it worked fine, i tried last night didnt work, charged it around 40min last night, almost fell asleep so unplugged it and just plugged it today for like 20 t’ill it turned green, tried it, didnt work.. any reason?

It sounds and revvs like a TAFC should. The headers alone on that linked motor took a couple tries to get the look and the sound right. Last I read was that little motor was in a museum. All the Conley engines run hot, in case anyone was curious. I hope this Crazy Hobbies V8 was a success, 4 years on.

Oh man I didn’t know I had to store my lipo battery at 50% every time I run my rc. I run it till I hit LVC and won’t charge it again till I have to use them again. Which is every Saturday. So they are drained through out the week.

You must have got a lucky one or I got a dud. Every time I run mine I break something on it and I don't even jump it

I ran my Kagama three times and have broken rhe wing mounts, rubber thing that holds the body clip, and front gearbox. I didn't even send it any ramps yet. I feel like i have been had. Considering Im not like Thunder RC who can launch an egg, land it, and have nothing broken. I broke the rear wing in the sand. Sorry for the rant.

As a Traxxas owner and a Texan, I can affirm to you that the anti littering commercial in this video is 100% accurate. It's not convenient when your hobby shop is too far away. It hurts me to know down under is far away too. I'm not even upset, The support is still there and even from other brands who make parts that work on Traxxas. I've never experienced this level of support in fact. Even battery support is available. I drive my Traxxas with absolute confidence in the support. If you're only going to invest in 1 RC vehicle, Please buy the Slash 4x4 Ultimate. Because anything else is a very ugly can of worms and going 100mph requires more than what hardened steel gearing can really cope with. I'm using Hobby Park 2.2 belted raptors at the present. I want to legally swipe the belted tires from the MAXX Slash. Think about how much more run time you can achieve by slowing down. Better for your RC investment. Think about how much better 3s is now. Ridiculously over powered. Traxxas parts are not always up to the task and they build to meet a particular price point. I use some RCAWD, GPM and HOSIM parts. HR and Robinson Racing Gears to get my Slash 4x4 Ultimate exactly how I want it. To be able to do that is Amazing to me and it's a reason I choose the Slash 4x4 Ultimate. I also have 3 TRX full metal crawlers maxed out.
