This song is where BAND-MAID started as real band! I can't believe their company didn't wanted them to write their own before this. I'm sure Kanami had some real bangers before this. She's more than a great song writer!

Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, Jason!

"Alone" is like stepping up to the plate during your first at-bat in the major leagues and knocking it out of the ballpark. "Alone" was the first song that their management company, at the time, let them write and record on their won. It was a preview of the talent that was there and what was to come.

I’m 67, been playing since I was a teen. Grew up playing Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton fiddle tunes, so I think I am pretty capable of picking out licks and melody twists & turns, and so far, after listening to them from the day Thrill was released on KZfaq, I have spotted exactly 2 (two) small sections of two songs that seemed to be ‘copied’ from another of their songs. They have a style, and do mostly stick to a ‘ababcb’ song structure (but it’s more aJapanese version of chord progressions, which are more complicated than the common western versions) so it’s especially amazing how little they ‘copy’ from older songs! You can tell it’s them but you’re never able to say ‘that sounds a lot like’ any of their own songs (although they do often get compared to other bands!) it’s obvious it’s them when you listen, but it’s never because the song or song arrangements being ‘the same’ that gives them away,

If you really want to discover their music, check out their songs on their channel that don't have actual videos. The have most of their catalog available under the releases tab, set in individual playlists. I think only their first mini-album and a couple of one offs that were only performed live are the only songs not available.

FYI the lead guitarist Kanami is the composer and brains behind all the music. After she composes the music she gives it over to Miku and Saiki to compose the lyrics. And as a metal head that grew up in the 70's I think this song is perfect.

This was Band-Maids first song where the record company finally "Unleashed" Kanami's writing skills, after many rejections, and let the girls do one of their songs.....and as they say, "the rest is history". One of Kanami's best solo's here. This song, after eight years, still holds it's own even today, that's the sign of extraordinary song writing.

I love OHOH but how this "reaction" ended up on my homepage is mindnumbingly lost on me The air instruments are weird, and you're not discussing anything other than using mediocre language to express anything at all, if you wanna make it as a reaction channel, do more I'm not trying to be harsh but I feel critism is needed sometimes
@JasonsSongStop
@JasonsSongStop 4 күн бұрын
I think you just don't like my style of reaction. I watch reactions as well and have taken things like air instruments from some of my personal favorite channels. Is there anything specific you'd like to add because you only said "do more" lol For all I know you could be talking like Hardcore keem and want me to jump out of my chair. But a reaction should be genuine and that's not who I am. So you go to Keem for his style, you go to Tank for his expertise. Reactions are all about if you like that specific person and who they are.

Since you've checkout the lyrics, and seen Akatsuki, you should checkout Akatsuki Unfinished, to see how this song sounds as a ballad. Usually when you see the word Unfinished in a Babymetal song title, its basically a stripped down ballad version of the song, accompanied by usually just a piano.Akatsuki Unfinished is a tear jerker. Watch her facial expressions when she sings it, if you get a chance to react to it. The only other song thats as emotional would be No Rain No Rainbow from Legend S Baptism XX, Monochrome from The First Take would be the 3rd most emotional singing perfromance from Su.. 😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘

Nice reaction! If anybody asks me, why I call Su-Metal "Queen", I give two answers: "Rondo of Nightmare" and "Akatsuki" at the Budokan 2014 Black Night concert. Make the questioner watch these, after that, no further questions 🤣 She was a frikkin´ pro and a hell of a performer even at that young age. VERY impressive! As were Leda and Takayoshi, playing that awesome solo... I LOVE it! Ah, Wembley... the whole concert was pure greatness, by all parties involved, including the two (!) crowds 😄 And the speed metal ballad 🤣 "Amore" is such an epic song!

Even though I like Su's voice in the 2021 Akatsuki performance even more (and the fight scene during the guitar solos adds something unique) the 2014 Budokan is overall my favourite performance. This show is definitely on top of the list of BluRays to get. The Nyango Star Akatsuki drum cover is also worth watching. Funny, thinking about it, the three most stright forward power metal Babymetal songs all start with an A: Akatsuki, Amore, Arkadia. The bass solo in Amore has nice Helloween vibes (Eagle Fly Free).
