I think the reason he kept looking at her is cause everybody stopped, but she didn't. She seemed baffled on the inside, but kept singing anyway, this intrigued tommy probably? Edit: I want to add that just when she sings 'the boy i love is looking at me', tommy looks at her, and when she says 'waving his handkerchief', he takes his hat off which from afar, looks like his waving it, hat instead of handkerchief. I love well constructed scenes, like this, reminds me of that malec scene from shadownhunters.

Does anyone else find her singing cringe? 😬 she has the makings of a lovely voice but ruins it by trying to sound a certain way and she really ruins beautiful Irish ballads by ending every sentence sung on a weird inflection. It’s like she’s over exaggerating her voice and it’s irritating. Plus her character is super fucking arrogan about how great of a singer she is; that her singing has stopped fighting, can break hearts. Oml, her voice isn’t even mediocre, it’s downright annoying. The actor has the ability to sound lovely with a soft tone but why she sings this way is beyond me. Trying too hard, maybe. But it shows and is one of the many reasons I hate Grace in the show. Also everyone in the comments is romanticising Tommy and Grace but I don’t know why. Their relationship is a) implied from the get-go so it’s not even a suprise, b) built on a foundation of them using each other with her trying to destroy him and him using her as bait for Billy Kimber and c) is toxic as fuck and d) it ends in tragedy (won’t say how to save you from spoilers). It’s a mediocre love story but don’t get me wrong, the show itself is amazing. Just don’t understand all the hype on Grace’s character cos she’s just so annoying and underwhelming.
