I don't see why one should be concerned with the carbon used being to make an EV, I would assume that people buy them used, and buying selling used products; is the reuse part of (reduce reuse recycle). I mean if the concern is about manufacturing pollution, then using a small old gas-powered car is the most environmentally friendly option. I wonder how many miles an ebike needs to be driven warrant its manufacturing pollution? I am glad you enjoyed the biking though :)

How’s the build quality been long-term? I got an Electra e-bike and I love it, but it doesn’t have nearly the capacity that some beefier bikes do and I’ve hit the max weight getting groceries already. Got a bit squirrelly. Was thinking about grabbing an Orox once I had the cash to do so.
@GriffKane
@GriffKane Ай бұрын
@@toastybuns5281 it’s built like a tank. The only real problem I’ve had was letting the rear tyre go a bit soft and the hitting a pothole when loaded 👉 bent derailleur. Wouldn’t happen on an Orox…

Very apt & interesting video Gareth ! Apt because I brought a frame set to build one up but it w they all as only when it was delivered I realised it has a full carbon fork. I have a few bikes but whether they are steel , aluminium , CF have non CF stems so as I am building it myself with limited skills I returned it. I just don't like the fact that CF steering tube is so malleable. Its a shame because the bike always gets good reviews as yours does. I will look for an alternative but I will stick with 1x as I have been using my grandsons hybrid with it fitted and I just love the convenience. If I should struggle at any time being I am old I will just get off and walk. Glad your happy with it and you now have a new Sub.

This is really interesting, something I've tried to dip my toe into but got utterly confused about. My biggest gripe always falls with farmers and their bully tactics where they take land over time and claim it as their own, or like you say they put no cycling signs on a path that so obviously is allowable for cyclists. Then there's public access land....dont get me started!

The Cheviots are amazing, I lived in Newcastle for 6 years. Getting out to Northumberland was amazing. I thought there was something more special about the Cheviots above the Lake District. There was a real sense of isolation.

It's good to see you back Gareth. The Cheviot Hills is where I started my backpacking 'career' as a teenage hillwalker, and so they have a special place in my heart.
