Just watched a few of your videos. A couple month ago I finally got back on my XR after taking 2 years off to totally heal from my fall. I had been riding my Pint and XR for a year when it happened. I’m trying to build my endurance back up where it was 2 years ago. The Stoke is real. FLOAT ON man.

I like your channel. Your reviews are spot on. I have the Enduro on PX, and it's amazing. Even more nimble and carvier. I'm curious what and how your CBXR BATTERY upgrade went as of now. I'm really thinking about just doing the JWXR UPGRAFE. I ofcourse rescued a Gemini board from a Coast Guard guy for $1,200 and only had 49 miles minimal scratches. I weigh 190 lbs trying to trim them pounds myself. Drives me crazy right now I'm doing a 72-hour cell balance. I live in Keywest Florida and my board only made it 9.3 miles. I usually get around 17 miles on my PX. So just wanted an update on your CBXR upgrade and love the videos bro.

You’re the only guy in KZfaq I know who actually upgraded and installed a custom chi-battery and explained, and did a range test on it. Thank you for this. I can’t find any others.

If you are riding for range, get rid of that heavy Vega Treaded! horrible on range, I was disappointed when I got mine and was getting less than half my usual range. I switched to a hoosier 11x6.0x6 Slick at 35 psi, and I'm getting around 38km on a stock (XR) battery on pavement averaging 18 kmh.

Breeeeh! All you gotta say about the helmet: FULL FACE CREW, yo! 🤘😁👍 Rock that. (Head injuries are not worth any amount of shame, I know first hand...) I can get about 25-30 miles out of my 4212 chipped CBXR. (depending on wind, climbing, etc.) I run a vega treaded (11.5x6.5-6), at around 20-22psi. So, if I remember right, with the chip we're basically losing about 9% of the battery according to Chi's chart, when compared with JW's chart. (JW chip chart reports 0%, where at that point Chi's is at 9%) Example: Yesterday I rode 25.7 miles to my buddies place, ran out of battery on the way there and had to stop at a starbucks to charge (ended up being 26.7 on the way there because I was looking for charge spot at around 15%, I hate running it below 25% or so). It was a gradual uphill and I had a strong headwind the whole time. On the way back, I had that tailwind and downhill: those same 25.7 miles took about 65% of the battery. left at 96% (max regular charge, used my hyper, it will usually read 98% when I'm at a balance charge), and got home with 32%. The % is really wonky, and not all that reliable honestly- it fluctuates due to sag and comes back up when the battery rests- as I would expect. I also prefer the slow charge, always (unless I'm travelling like yesterday). So, as with everything, there's a lot of factors that are going to determine mileage and they're not always easy to calculate. I'm also very light- probably weighed 165ish with all my gear on- maybe 175ish tops. Anyway, best of luck bro! Also, if your battery pack is a freshie and hasn't been through at least 10 cycles, personally I wouldn't bother range testing it until you've got some cycles on it and it's at a full balance charge. First few rides were a little concerning to me, as I wasn't getting anywhere close to 30, but now I feel if I just calm down a little bit and don't average like 13mph topping out at like 18ish... I could get 30... But what's the fun in that? haha. Regardless of all that, with the additional cells, this board feels way more solid at full charge, and is way less scary to ride under 30% than stock. That's all I got buddy, sorry to go on and on. Dang man! Great job. I had the extended battery installed on my XR with the chip. Range is out of this world! Unfortunately had an 'error 16' message show up 400 miles later. Board is in the shop now hopefully getting fixed.
