They're probably only under Gael in term of most satisfying boss fight in ds3. Wish it was a bit longer

This game is really trash in my opinion, after playing all the other souls games first and avoiding this one like the plague, and because of that it's that much more difficult of a slog to trudge through. Not worth my time, I can have twice as much fun with any other soulsborne

To be real honest. No boss in elden ring has scratched that gael itch. Gael was so peak, 3 phases, increasinly spectacular, increasingly dangerous and no 50 hit combo's

Maybe it’s just burn out but I loved Elden ring, played DS3 beating every boss like I did in ER yet now I don’t feel like playing another FromSoft game again. The overly obtuse story and the emotional let down from little character interaction or ending. The static nature of the NPC’s and cheesy difficulty spikes and gotcha moments all so I can watch a 30 second ending cut scene which leaves no impact. Great art style, challenging as hell, cool world building, after a while though the sound of my footsteps running around for a reason I don’t know since I don’t want to read every item I get and watch 9 hours of lore videos got old. There’s several features these games need. An in game journal for 1. And a more cutscenes and dialogue. More options to interact with the few people you have to talk to besides some dude in red who shows up to kill you just cause 😂 For reference I’m level 182 in ER and 95 in DS3. I enjoyed these two games but unless they break some new ground I’m good.

Funny enough, my first souls game was Bloodborne and I think it made me develop a playstyle that just not good for almost every Souls game, that being dodging. I got to just good at timing dodges and sometimes parrying with the pistol in the game, and most enemies allowed you to play like that. In souls game you have to guard and parry and backstab, they are different mechanics and I try to play like in Bloodborne, so in my experience Bloodborne has been the easiest and every other souls I feel have been harder, specially DS1. Not even the bosses but the world itself. Recently I played Lies of P and I just dodged all the bosses and enemies, almost never used guard for the guard regain feature, and did very little parrying, thinking it wasn't the best strategy. Since the game is intended to be played like that, so some bosses were more difficult than necessary (LAXASIA THE COMPLETE). Until the very end I realized that was the best way to bet tough enemies and implementing it immediately gave me the edge I needed to beat them easily. So, in conclusion, I'm going back to DS1 to finally beat it 😆

Good lits, but not playing Demon Souls at the time - out of context - really bias a list like this. But, objectively, your list is fair.

My order would go. (Best to worst) Dark souls 3 - doubt this one's getting topped, it has the fewest critiques, I only dislike one boss with the dragon you plunging attack. It has soo many armour sets and weapons I love whereas with alot of the previous entries I only like 3-4 of the sets. Plus most of my favourite bosses like abyss watchers and soul of cinder. Elden ring - this games just fun to boot up and play for a few hours every now and then. Lots of challenge run potential due to the high amount of gear and spells. Some really good additions like guard counters and a jump button. Demon souls remake - just a really polished game, dragon god is vile and world tendancy sucks but once you have all the loot locked behind world tendancy I love doing runs of the game and it feels incredible with haptic feedback. Sekiro - my favourite thing in the souls franchise is the sheer number of builds and weapons so I was disappointed with the lack of either in this game but the combat was so polished that it heavily made up for it. Bloodborne - voice acting is the best in the series and I love the world but my main issue is the difficulty and bosses. I only died 7 times on my first playthrough and didn't die once on my second run. Dlc I had 3 deaths I just didn't find this game hard and I didn't parry once. Bosses as a whole I didn't really like, I gave them all d-c tiers with like 3-4 bs, most feel the same it's just beasts or piles of flesh. Or gank fights, good god so many gank fights. Dark souls 2 - alot of annoying stuff like the slow healing and some awful run backs but some great stuff like power stancing and bonfire astetics. Very 50/50 game but some great areas and a few great bosses. Dark souls 1 - always holds a special place for getting me into the series but good god this game holds up terribly over time haha. The first few hours are still great but once you beat quelag the quality absolutely plummits, sens fortress is awful, anor Londo is Great but then I hate everything after anor Londo, dark area sucks, new londos awful, the archives with seath is bad, everything I just hate. Great last boss though. Definitely not gonna get some hate replies haha.

You can get insight before even seeing the first boss, and upgrade your character that way. In fact it’s an optional boss. You can skip it entirely if you wanted to.

NEVER go for his legs. Midir is a boss thats mechanics are basically forcing you to fight him head on. His head takes less damage and also is open for attack after almost every one of his attacks.

The run to the blue smelter demon is not supposed to be done solo. It was tuned specifically for groups. From said before the release of these dlc's there will be extremely hard areas because they had co-op in mind.

Midir gave me the hardest time tbh. He's just so all over the place. Hard to hit his dang head and his lower body IA almost impossible to hit consistently with the gear I was rocking.... namless king no joke I got second or third try. He was defiantly the coolest boss. But in terms of difficulty midir gave me a harder time. For context I was rocking a dex strength build with maxed out faith for pyromancys. He was the only boss that I hit him with bed of chaos and he was like that all you got... nameless king got dumpstered by my fireballs 😂.
