My question is whether you can just use fingering, not held double, does that make a smaller blanket?

This is.... and I mean this as a massive compliment... the most obsessively well thought out pattern I have ever seen. I'm going to knit it using the Botanical Knits advent and your comment about the need for contrast in your pink motif 2 has me wondering. If I want to knit an advent as I go, would it be better to stick to motif 1 (or a custom motif) so the CC triangles don't touch? OR, since the advent will be a fade, maybe I should run with motif 2 and it makes a lovely fade?!

I really enjoyed watching your vlogs, as always! And especially this last one was the cherry on top, as I knit away on my sweater wip enjoying my first day on holiday... with a fever😅 Never mind, I'm not feeling too too bad and until I have my knitting and my videos to watch I'll be absolutely fine😂❤

What fun to spend time with your sister! I love that you can share a sweet and savory dish to have the best of both worlds :). The farmers finished combining here in our area about a week or so ago. We are surrounded with grain fields here!

I wish my sister and I could have a time away. But she is getting older (84) and is not as vivacious as she once was. We have very different things we call fun. I am Considering one of the travel services geared to women traveling alone.

I'm thoroughly enjoying knitting on the Sweet Shop while watching your summer vlog! Your sandwich looks so YUMMY and now I'm going to have to try to locate some alternative cream cheese from Philadelphia! I wonder if I can find some locally. It IS fun to see snippets of other daily lives which are so different from our own!

I really enjoyed watching these ☺️ day to day life is more interesting than some people think, so thank you for allowing us to tag along with yours. You mention it will be nice to look back at these videos in a couple of years to see what life was like and I couldn’t agree more. So often I think “what did we do before we had kids?” or “how did we manage to get everything done with a baby?”. Hola! Thanks for another video Laura! I can relate to the tension between what I must do and what I want to do! Right now I just wanna finish my summer knits and start with autumn but you reminded me of a post that came through my feed recently ¨Rest is not something you need to earn¨. And I was like oh wow, I do this all the time. In regards to wanting to knit something new and finishing things, I get that since you're a designer your approach is different. I confess that sometimes I cast on things that excite me and I tell myself I am just leaving them ready so when I finish my current wips I can go back to the new ones. So technically I don´t have 4 wips, I just have 2 wips and 2 ideas I had ¨set up¨ 🤭

I work a full time job that doesn't allow me knitting till the evening. So most evenings I knit in front of the television. And Saturdays are always my knitting days.
