Oooh the dates and rose water is a great idea! Here everyone makes sher kurma and saandan every Eid, except me... I make pudding. 😅 My chachi adds a little milk powder, it gives it a nice rich taste. 😊

You can skip the milk powder. I have added milk powder for an extra taste and for a browned top. Its optional, you can skip it

I made the cake today. This is the best butter cake recipe EVER!!! Made it without the milk powder. Don’t know how it tastes with the milk powder, but without the milk powder the cake tastes just perfect. Moist, soft crust, not to sweet. Thank you ever so much for the recipe! You now have a Dutch fan ;)
