It's not a luxury watch. Premium yes. Luxury watches are minimum of 5/6 K and some would say 8 due to the inflation of the last few years

Does the bracelet use screws or push pins?
@LosNTime
@LosNTime 14 күн бұрын
Hey there! most swatch brands like Mido, Tissot, Hamilton, and Certina use split pins instead of screws in their bracelets. The use of screw pins is more common in higher-end swatch brands like Longines and Omega. Hope this info helps! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Beautiful video. With your color grading, it looks like the dial is more royal blue than teal. In reality, when you handle the watch, how would you describe the blue?
@LosNTime
@LosNTime 19 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question! The video's white balance is adjusted using a calibrated neutral gray card, which should ensure accurate colors. However, variations may occur due to differences in monitors/screens, causing colors to appear warmer or cooler. Considering the dramatic lighting, I focus on the bright sunburst highlights and darker areas to simulate how the watch might appear in dimly lit environments such as a pub. Overall, I believe the video accurately represents the color of the watch in real life. I hope this is helpful to you 🍔🍺

Hey there! This watch is my absolute favorite - it's the only one I wear. You're totally right about it being big, lol. Back in 2016, big watches were all the rage, lol. I think my 7.5 wrists help me rock it, lol. You'll probably love the 38mm open El Primero. It's not as complex, but the smaller size makes it super classy and refined. I've seen some great prices for them on the American gray market, but I think taxes and import fees are higher in Europe. If you end up getting one, please let me know! I hope you find an awesome deal like I did. 🍔🍺

@@LosNTime Thanks I’m sure about the size, I had tried it on a vacation to Cyprus probably 5 years ago but at that time I was a noob and couldn't imagine spending so much on a watch. So I get home I tried to seach something similar in my price range. I find and bought a Hamilton Jazzmaster Chronograph Skeleton (limited to 999) which was the closest thing under one thousand EUR. Since then I have dived into the hobby quite a bit, I bought expensive timepieces like Rolex Air King (wasn't my cup of tea sold it real quick) Doxa Sub 300 and Cartier Santos 2823 (neovintage XL size) I sold my Hamilton skeleton a few month ago because it felt a bit big (43mm with 13mm thickness) so now I’m on the hunt for the real best open work for me Fortunatelly it is at half of the original MSRP like in your case 🍺

Mido, Tissot, Certina and Hamilton are the "Fab Four" of Swatch group. It is healthy to say that all of them have in-house movements, some use silicium other use nivarox hair Springs which is state of the industry like Rolex or Omega. They are supebly finished and the precision is in the range of Omega Metas and Rolex. I have all these brands and are my favorites. Also are though as nails. Just put the name of Rolex/Omega aside and you will hardly find a difference in terms of quality, aesthetics and long tradition of great watch making.

I absolutely love my Seiko Sharp Edge GMT - it's definitely one of the standout pieces in my watch collection. The 6r64a GMT movement in it is just fantastic, especially compared to the ETA in my opinion. However, the Mido definitely holds its own - it's a stunner in its own right. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either of them. I actually have both the Ocean Star GMT and the Sharp Edge, and I adore them for different reasons. But there's something truly special about the Seiko Presage Sharpedge. It's definitely a standout piece in my collection. 🍔🍺

@LosNTime what movement have this watch? Is the powermatic 80 with plastic parts what certina and tissot uses?
@LosNTime
@LosNTime Ай бұрын
What an insightful question! Mido and Certina utilize the same GMT movement, which is currently exclusive to them. Both are based on C07.661, a higher grade power matic with a metal escapement. Tissot, on the other hand, is the only brand that uses the lower grade c07.1xxx with a plastique escapement, seen on the pox. Other Tissot watches, such as the gentleman, feature much higher grade powermatic. In the entry-level hierarchy of swatch brands, Mido and Rado reign at the top of the entry-level market, surpassing Tissot, Hamilton, and Certina, which is only outranked by Longines, positioned just below Omega. This means that Mido ensures the best parts and finishing at its price range. I hope this provides the information you were looking for!

I was going to pull the trigger on this one this week. I did not realize it had an aluminum bezel. That may be a deal killer for me. If the aluminum scratches, that will be the first thing I see every time l look at it. I have only had ceramic bezels on my last several watches. Did the bezel feel like it would scratch easily? I appreciate your input, other than that, it seems like the perfect watch.
@LosNTime
@LosNTime Ай бұрын
As soon as I strapped on this watch, I was completely captivated - the fact that the insert was aluminum didn't even cross my mind! I'm absolutely smitten with it! While ceramic is known for being more scratch-resistant than aluminum, aluminum is still incredibly durable. It ages over time, giving the bezel a unique patina, a characteristic that's highly sought after in vintage and vintage-style watches. If this appeals to you, then this watch will be a perfect fit. I wouldn't stress too much about scratches unless you lead a particularly rough-and-tumble lifestyle. Personally, I'd embrace the inevitable marks that life brings. However, if you prefer to keep all your watches looking brand new and aren't a fan of the aging process of aluminum, then ceramic might be more your speed. If possible, I'd recommend getting hands-on with the watch before making a decision. It's so stunning that the bezel material might not even register when you try it on! 😄
