does the vent window nrrd to go in first?

I made these videos many years ago. I had to go back and look at part one to try and figure out an answer to your question. And I'd say it looks like yes, you need to put the vent in first. Or at least that's what I did. I think the vent window could go in last except that division bar might not be set in the right spot, and with the regulator and division bar in the way it may be very difficult to get your arms and hands inside the door far enough to be able to install the vent window hardware. Hope that helps.

Sorry, I don’t follow my own channel very much. I Hope you found your parts but if not check out midFifty in California. I think they have virtually every part needed to build a complete ‘51 - ‘54 F100

Thanks for posting this video. Once I realized I had to pull the weather strip out of the way to get to the "C"clip out (to remove the lock), it went together fast. Thanks! Kenn

Dan, I think you're right the anti-rattler goes up behind the window channel. Great idea to flatten that end, I wish I would have thought of that before I put mine; I'll try flattening it out because it is really tight on the window. I did things a little different. I already had my door latch in and adjusted. Next I put the division bar in first and just loosely put it in place. Then I put the anti-rattler felt in and then the window channel. Then I put in my the vent frames. According to the manual the division bar needs to be loose for all of that including putting in the window regulator. Which is what I put in after the vent frame. The vent frame is the only thing, besides the door latch, that I have tightened down. I'm at the point of trying to bed my door window into the window channel roller. I have my door glass up in the division bar and the rear window channel, so its wedged in between those channels and the anti-rattle felt; I can still move it up and down or back and forward. Good video!

Sorry, I haven’t followed my own channel much. I’m Pretty sure I got all my parts from midFifty in California. I think LMC truck also has parts but I think the best supply for the 48 to 54 F1 and F100s is midFifty.

HI there. I just wanted to say I have watched all of your videos and so appreciate the detailed explanations it has saved me so much time watching them. I don't see many comments here but as a 54 F100 owner I wanted to let you know that although many may not comment, I wanted to take the time to do so and say thank you. I have saved all your series as I am replacing all this on my truck. I just replaced my vent window on the passenger side (broke it at first then found out the hard way how to do it properly) if you need tips on that I have you covered there. Any I do have a question here as this weekend I am changing my door latches, just got new ones my old ones are worn out. I don't have to disassemble my glass and hardware hopefully as you have done, I just need to replace the door latches. I have no lock on driver side right now but I will probably do that at some point. Seems silly to lock your truck to have to slide over to passenger side and get out. Back to it...while I have my door apart doing this, I need to adjust my vent window vertical bars or whatever. My vent windows are so tight they are really hard to close. I tried adjusting the top 2 screws which frees up the vent but then makes the main window tight. When I take my doors apart in a couple days, is there some adjustment left to right maybe on the main window what will allow a little more space? That is the one thing that is not mentioned in your video , the adjustment. Yours must have slid right in but mine are very tight currently. My email if you would like to contact me is [email protected]. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks Len

A tip from Greg at ClassicTruckGlassdotcom; He says if you put the wind-wing (vent) frame & division bars in before you press in the wing glass, it allows you to align the wind-wing glass before the tape sets up.
