Everyone is such a perfect parent in the comments. Kids are stronger and more resilient than people Think. Would the kid prefer to have mom around often? Yes. Will she understand when she grows up? Yes. Mommy is saving lives. Not going to party at the club. Also, is about quality and not quantity. A weekend well spent building memories playing and being present will meliorate the situation. One can be a stay at home mom and still be an absentee parent because you spend every minute on your phone or doing "chores" around the house instead of playing and reading to your kid. If it was that detrimental, why do so many kids with physician parents go on to follow on their parents' footsteps? Geez. I cannot.
