If you guys get this message, did you have some sort of indistrial/fiberglass shop prior to starting this endeavor? I can't help but marvel at the tent. Did you acquire that just for this project, too? Still binge watching. 7/16/24

So the tent was purchased at auction as a paint booth for the tanks that Whit’s dad paints. Covering the boat was a really nice bonus.

You need to leave the mattress very loose and NOT touching the rear edge or it will sweat up against the walling, I know I did it myself lol 😂

Yes we are going to be cutting it down a bit more. It’s a little too thick also.

Hi there, I have the identical boat to you here in the UK and am finding it incredibly hard to find the rubber window seals for the brass windows as all mine need replacing , could you p,ease p,ease send me the details where I can send for the complete set

So I ended up just getting some 5/16 neoprene adhesive backed rubber. Then rebedded the glass with black sika flex 295uv.

Have at it, mom's tired of sanding I've just binge watched all previous videos (it's a 4 day holiday weekend here in Scotland) its great to see the kids help out but that made me laugh too much. Strangely this video appears in the playlist after your dad painted the boat and what a fantastic job he made of the old lady! No lipstick on a pig here, this is a well dressed lady with all the trimmings to go with her good looks.

Anyone can buy and own a lower maintenance plastic fantastic white boat . Try not to fall into “the low maintenance trap “ keep the value of the boat financially and aesthetically by not painting over all of the teak . You will regret it.

I mean, they're done, kinda. There comes a point where you decide, you're better off leaving whats on it on it until it fails because the cost isn't worth getting it done now since what's on there is currently working "well enough".

Yeah trying to balance must haves and want to haves with taking safety and cost into consideration. Sometimes it’s good enough for who it’s for. 😝

It’s cold and rainy round here but we snuck a few trips in near the end of October. Had a few days of 70’s mid week so cast of and had an awesome time.

We have stayed on mooring a few times over night and done some shakedown day cruises. Trying to learn all the systems. Practicing our skills at the dock and on the water. Loving it so far and not completely overwhelmed with new issues so win win.

It was a bear of a job. The trick to squeezing it out of there was trimming back the forward bulkhead. Flush with the bottom of the floor that gave me an additional 2 inches or so for making the corner when trying to lift it out. Pulled it toward the engine and sucked it in as I squeezed it up toward the engine compartment hatch. Not a super fun task ha

Thanks for the nice compliment. We have slowly been tackling a few upgrades and keeping the water out now that we are I. The elements and few sneaky leaks here and there but we are gaining on it.

I haven't used an old pressure pot for years I use to spray heavy equipment as well. You can tell your dad experienced with that spray gun, he does it with ease. That's what happens when you spray paint for years on end. Boat looking good.

Your fake battery bank is a stash. It's for hiding valuables or smuggling. Someone did a nice job building it. It might even be original to the boat from the shipyard.

WAY TO GO ! No the work never ends on a boat it just easier to maintain with a schedule ( oil change , fuel polishing , paint and stain areas greasing and washing ) but well worth it ! Congratulations SKOL !
