Our quest begins with the dream of having a dry bilge. No stinky shower water in our engine room! First we tackle the teaser from the end of the last video... finish that up and then we start in the vberth head (bathroom for you non-boating folk). It's TINY but will be mighty functional when we are finished with it!

" So I found a problem she says" " I wonder what Cameron think's " with a huge smile on her face. Whitney, I couldn't help it, that statement along with that smile cracked me right up! don't mean to laugh at your expense there Cameron but I must admit that was funny!

Hey guys I went to the beginning and started watching but this is my first comment you should make 30 minute videos people love these kind of refits or refreshes and I am enjoying watching all of them one after the other you guys can get enough subscribers you'll start getting paid for it and that will make it more enjoyable for you but I am glad you guys are doing it thanks for making the videos looks like you're doing a wonderful job and once again we would love to see more of the work and you can Jibber Jabber to us while you work thank you great job

Thanks! 30 minute videos take an enormous amount of time to edit and put together. With little kids at home and this not being our full time jobs, we do the best we can! Our family members like the bite-sized videos, so that's why we have stayed with that format! Thanks for watching!

Where you talked about making a shelf for the shower sump you may find a garboard drain plug. It would be best to maintain access to the plug. It's usually in the lower part of the bilge and may be buried in bilge grunge. You have the advantage of the boat on the hard so you could look on the outside of the hull to confirm if Lady Hawk has a garboard drain. Glad to see you fixing delamination as you go, I think you'll be glad you fixed that stuff now vs. letting it go.

Thanks for this! We will look for that plug!

@@aboardladyhawk I should have mentioned the plug may be between a 1/2" to 3/4". Hard to know on these boats because they are all a little different.

Thank you for this info!! I wanted to let you know Cameron located the plug today! I missed it when I went searching a month ago. It was hidden under the waste tank hose... fun times... -Whitney

Just a thought. The gray water going up to the pipe coming from the sink. Would there be some sort of check valve to keep water from flowing into that sink? The pipe is sort of flat or at least on the video. What is to keep the water from flowing into the sink

Yes, we were thinking about that too... I think a one way check valve will be the only way to assure the water goes out the boat, and not into the sink. The line right now is pretty flat, we plan to re-route a lot of those lines here soon to clean up that engine room area. The aft head has the same problem which you will see in a later video. The access to that one is a nightmare.

Question, is the waste tank you were talking about underneath the hot water tank? Or was it under the part of the shower pan? It's tough to tell from the video. Clever spot if it is under the hot water tank. Any idea on it's capacity?

So to get to that waste tank access... we had to pull out the removable stairs that go down to the vberth. Under that, there's a removable floor panel. Then under that you have to go upside down and barely crawl halfway in there. That's what you see Cameron doing. Under that access hatch, I'll call it, you are able to see the shower drain off to the port side and the water tank is pretty much centered in the boat. It lives under the vberth floor/beds. We think it's 30-40 gallons, but haven't tested capacity (and for leaks) yet to be sure.
