I always release the pressure of the remaining water after the unit is powered off and I also run water through the system with the unit off before I start a wash to get any access air out of the system. Thank you for the video.

Thank you so much for this, seriously! I don’t think I would have thought about releasing the pressure with the unit off on my own. I already do the water through the system thing because my spigot is so far away from where I set up my pressure washer. I’m definitely going to start doing this. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment! I think you saved me from breaking another pressure washer.

Better option would be get a better hose like mtm and get a hose reel that would solve the heaviness and would be less cumbersome. Congrats on your first baby

I researched the MTM hose. I was able to find a good one on Amazon that was steel braided so I bought that one. One day I’d like to have a pressure washer set up in my garage with a hose reel and all of the connections, but for now I’ll roll it up by hand. Thanks for watching!

Hello, love your honesty. I was wondering why you didn't use a pistol grip on your hose to attach to the foam gun. You wouldn't have had to keep it flowing constantly, but I'm not judging or anything, just trying to help. Nice job on the video. Thanks for your time.

I’m already looking at an obsessed garage hose to replace my non steel braided hose. It’s good you already had the proper equipment. I’ll probably end up buying a new 2.0 if customer service doesn’t send another unit. Hopefully using the unit with the proper equipment will give it some longevity. Buying a new unit may be a waste of money, but I did a hose wash yesterday and it was the worst. I hated it. Anyway, thanks for commenting and watching!

I hope someone can help U figure out where the serial number is located. I never heard of anyone having trouble with a pressure washer because of the brand hose they used. I think the unit just went bad. They should have had you ship the unit to them and replaced it. If that's the way their customer service is going to be I won't be buying a unit from Active.

The jury’s still out on customer service for me. I’ve only sent one email and had one very short phone call. Sorry to hear you are having warranty issues. I ordered the Active 2.0 and a 50’ uberflex hose. I believe many others tried this combination and experienced serious issues before Active issued guidance about using braded hoses. Luckily, I saw Keav’s review of the Active 2.3 and his comment about the uberflex hose causing the Active 2.0 to surge before I used my unit for the first time. Apparently, non-braded hoses cause the unit to surge. I never opened my uberflex hose and I will use the 25’ OEM hose until a new 50’ steel braded hose arrives.

Thinking you gamed the system by buying a cheap Amazon hose is the message. There are no magic beans, fairy dust or unicorns. I hate that you bought an Active thinking it was an upgrade over a cube. Most have had similar experience with Active. They seem more focused on marketing than product build quality. The mid-lower tier machine still isn't out there. Unless unicorn chasing is the thrill. That being said, I just ordered the EGO unit because I do a bunch of different type vehicles at the owners' locations and I don't drag my Kranzle around for foaming. So I may get bit as well.
@thedrivewaydetailer
@thedrivewaydetailer 14 күн бұрын
I recently watched a couple of KZfaq videos of people having problems with their ARBlue units also. You’re probably right. The only real long term solution is buying one of premium brands. If my life circumstances were different I’d probably pull the trigger on a Kranzle and be done with it. Hopefully your ego does well for you. Thanks for watching!

I think my biggest problem with it was the foam fan pattern isn’t as wide as it is with my MTM. I’ve been playing around with foam thickness recently. I’ve been testing to see if foam that isn’t as thick is better at removing dirt.

I would say that contrary to what marketing says, there is no hydrophobic product that will prevent water spotting. I'd say they increase water spotting. Most dishwasher rinse agents are actually hydrophilic and cause the water to sheet off completely. When you have a hydrophobic surface you end up concentrating some of the water that is left and leave the spots. Where the waxes do help is preventing the water spot from etching the clear. If you want to avoid water spots when you dry I would say DI rinse is the best way. Otherwise, a spray bottle made with distilled or DI water and a rinseless wash or waterless wash like Armour Adapt as a drying aid is about as good as you can get. This stuff will make the water spot easier to remove, but I don't think it can truly prevent water spotting for any water that remains on the surface.

You could've used 1 gallon of water and used 2-3oz of the chemical. You weren't cleaning anything, just applying the product once the car is clean already. 1 gallon of water is more than enough for 1 small vehicle.
