The most bait-and-switchy trailer I think I watched was Downsizing with Matt Damon. It made it look like such a fun, silly comedy about people getting shrunk down. It was actually pretty philosophical and kind of depressing. Not a terrible movie, but definitely not the lighthearted romp that was implied.

All the sap reminds me of Project Runway, a show my mom and I used to watch all the time until they started peddling the same tricks AGT is. I remember one of the last seasons we watched before quitting had this gay black guy design an outfit inspired with pluses... Because he had just found put he was HIV+. The judges asked him what the inspiration was and he told them. He then admitted in an interview that he hadn't even told HIS MOTHER yet. Ofc they obviously put him through to the next round... Sometimes I watch the older seasons for sewing inspiration, but certainly nothing modern.
