So the clip is holding the two halves of the visor together to surround the metal rod going across the visor. I believe internally there are groves that the rod sits in. When the visor splits in half from prolong heat, it makes it loose & doesn't hold the rod securely.

You can and also you can vacuum the inside of the air box if there is sand or dirt.

I would say try to get that part from a local junk yard or if you can find it online, the part number is 88217-S04-003YC. The only quick thought would be using some small plastic hook in place of the broken part?

I think my binder clip is too small, but If you take your visor off the clip and flip it over above your head. It does not hang down in your way. I’m so glad I got that da%^ thing out of my face.

Make sure your mileage screen is on the odo reading if its on trip a or b it will not reset it

I believe the one I used was 1 inch or 25.4 mm. But you can use a bigger one if your visor is thicker.

Hey bro, quick question. How long did this ballast work for you? Or is it still working? A lot of the reviews say it goes out in a short amount of time.

The first time the ballast wire went out like 6 months after I installed it. Then I replaced that part. I thought at first the box/module part went bad. I'm thinking it depends on the workmanship of this units on how long it will last. After the replacement of the wire, everything is still working for about 2 years now.

Sorry at that point I had to help my friend hold the window while attaching it to the regulator and I couldn't record that part. If you can still move the glass down, move it to the point where you have access to the bolts that attach the glass to the regulator track. You will need a second person to help hold the glass when removing and attaching the glass. I believe it was 2 bolts at the bottom part if the glass attached to a white plastic piece on the horizontal regulator rail.

Just a quick question. If I can’t determine if its a faulty windows regulator, what are the other signs of it. Is the battery icon constantly on the dash e.g. Because in my case its there.

The camry didn't have a warning indicator for the windows. So is the battery icon on when you have the car running? If so, take the battery to a local auto parts store to have it tested. Besides that, a way you can tell of a window regulator going bad is slow or sporadic movement or you hear noise when it's opening or closing.

@@SkyShadowMedia thanks for your response. Engine is running fine, battery is brand new. It happened previously, a replacement fuse sorted the issue. Now same sympthoms, no dashboard gauge is operating, battery icon on. Apart from it everything works. E.g. lights in cabin, AC, etc.

@AttilaNaray hm is all the windows doing it or just 1 or 2. If all windows are doing it, it may be something electrical. If it's 1 or 2, it's a sign the regulator is going bad. Some people say there's a way to grease the motor somehow since the other issue is the regulator's moving parts dry out.

It's a 25.4mm (1") binder clip. The size can be smaller or larger depending on how thick your visor is. Hope this helps!

@@SkyShadowMediathanks so much for the reply. Ok now this is crazy. First off, my car is a Rogue Sport, but it’s the same basic cap as the one in your video. Now, you were right, I got it off with persistence! BUT! Once the cap is off there is NO dipstick attached to the cap. WTF??? I’m betting Nissan doesn’t want you doing this yourself and they put a cap on it with no stick so that you need to go to a dealer for this. This is crazy. FYI, I bought this car new, this isn’t an issue with a previous owner or something. Can you believe this? I landed on your video because there are no Rogue Sport videos about the dipstick.

After we had problems with this transmission on the Altima, my aunt decided to trade the car and get something else. I appreciate you stopping by to check out the video.

Hm never had the issue with the Civic even with the clip on. I guess one way would be adding a hook on the windshield and then a loop on the visor? Thanks for the great question!

So doing some research, it seems like there's no part number for the bulb retaining clip since Acura makes you buy the entire headlight. 🤦♂️ One option would be to find it a local salvage yard. Hope you figure something out with it. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. These headlights can be pretty frustrating. I made the mistake the first time of un-hooking the clip before twisting the connection off first..took me 2hrs to fix my mistake 😔

Oh it's a buddy that owns a garage so I thought I would record and show how to replace the regulator. I think Hondas are similar too. But yes these regulators can be tricky.
