Addiction is a choice, not a disease like ALS. Victim mentality can be very comforting, but we all have the power of making a responsible choice.

Question: how is an infant responsible for what others have done to him/ her? How does s/he choose to be abused, or injured. How does a traumatized child compromise himself or herself leading to injury that affects an entire life? It seems to me choices are more or less possible later in life according to how profound the original trauma or injury was. I am interested in knowing your thoughts on agency in such situations. Thank you.

@CarolineMyssSpiritualDirection since i pick up other people anger, sadness, etc. & know it, I am able to easily release it, and there can be a great Peace in that which I have no words to explain. But...how can I know when I’m picking up others’ emotions, thoughts, when they maybe similar to mine & compounding my own, leading to this “bleeding of E?” Sometimes I think I’m picking up others joy, because it feels like it’s all one! I’m wondering how I’ve made it so far with the thoughts I’ve had over the past 10 years! Why would the Universe show this to me NOW?? To look into that State of Grace & Prayer of Protection? Or just to show me the big mess I’ve made?? (You are so right ...I’d doesn’t help to just pitch one’s tent & say, “I quit!” I didn’t know the extent of this till now!) WOW! I’ve been searching for a physical person in my area for real spiritual teachings & here you are online! I could not understand you some years earlier in life, but this I’m understanding all too well! I hope I can get there (LIGHT) from here (the weight of DENSITY.) I was very reluctant to get the shot for circus 19, i felt i got poison in my body, i regretted i did not follow my intuition, i had 3 days of dyhrea afterthat. Detachment does not mean that it is needed to lecture a man who just went through tremendous suffering with such harshness. I think Job needed to understand the reason why he suffered as to ease his pain. A harsh superior attitude that says that Job has no right to question the reason does not sit well with me. It was as if God was offended by being questioned by Job and took out those feelings on Job by being harsh.
